I haven't seen it a second time yet, but after thinking it over, I'm pretty much convinced that he was in reality at the end. Killing yourself in Limbo sends you back to reality. We saw that with Cobb and Mal. The actors who played Cobb's kids WERE different at the end of the movie then they were in his dreams. And the top started losing speed, which never happened in any dreams.

At first I thought this thread was where we randomly spoil the ending to a bunch of movies.
Then I realized it was only for Inception, and lost interest.

.....Felt like letting everyone know.

FINALLY, I CAN LOOK AT THIS THREAD!!!!
This movie was crazy. I can't decide if I liked it or not. I am totally confused and have so many questions.

But at the end, I think that he WAS in reality. It was still going, but you could see it start to wobble. If he was in a dream then that means that he is dead, or in a never ending dream.

Now I am wondering if I am in a dream... It seems with all of these adds it seems like the world of Inception...

I think it has to be reality. When Dom and Saito meet up in Limbo, they go through that oft-repeated speech again about "going back and becoming young men together". Then, Saito slowly reaches for Cobb's gun (remember, you have to kill yourself to get out of Limbo; like when Dom and Mal had to get hit by a train to get kicked back up) and they wake up in the plane.
And if you have any questions, the first page of this thread cleared a lot of things up.

My theory about the movie is that there is no reality. That damn near the entire thing was a dream. There was a fifth level of it, what we all thought was 'reality'.

Cobb was the true architect of the entire dream, and we were the dreamer. That's why his projections could randomly show up at any time and no one else's, and it also explains to me why Cobb said he can't dream anymore. I've never heard of someone dreaming about having a dream.

Anyways, at this point I feel the true inception was Cobb trying to establish he was a good person - flawed, but still good. However, if I think this is all a dream created by Cobb... then who is the real Cobb? Maybe instead of watching Mal plummet to her death, he pushed her out of the window in a drunken rage... and now is becoming an old man, filled with regret, and waiting to die alone?

I'm not sure if this is the best explanation yet... and it's probably nonsense anyways. :3

IMO There is a fifth level, and Christopher Nolan is the architect.

I've read half of this topic, and I don't understand any of it. Maybe I will when I see it.

@Odnetnin I really don't know what to say to that, other than that it was absolutely brilliant.

Up was a good movie. That was a great trailer. And Inception was amazing.

Pretty sure my girlfriend and I had our eyes absolutely fixated on the screen when the totem was spinning at the end. There could have been an elephant flying around the room and we totally wouldn't have noticed.

What plot holes? Read both pages to this thing--we've discussed anything that might be construed as a plot hole.
