Topic: In relation to my last thrend about getting a PS3....do you think i should..

Do you guys think i should buy a 360 and have the best of both worlds?
i can afford a 360 and keep the Wii but if i want a PS3...i gotta give up the Wii.

Anyway...please tell me what you guys think?

If you want a 360 for less than a PS3, you're looking at the Arcade model, which does not have a hard drive worth mentioning or wireless. If you want a real 360, you need to pay at least the price of a PS3.

This is all assuming you buy new. If you buy used, you can get PS3's used just as easily, I'm sure, and they're more likely to work. Buying a used 360 seems more risky.

Ahh im just gonna go buy an arcade 360.
I love PS3...but i guess i cannot throw the Wii away for one.
Even used PS3's are rare here in Irleand...i actually called up Gamestop this morning and they had none but they have 360's in stock.

I guess its better if i pay €170 for an arcade 360 and get Mordern Warfare 2 instead of paying €300 for a PS3 and getting Mw2.

besides...i don't really feel that PS3 has that much games that are interesting to me in my opinion.
I don' know...maybe if i sold the Wii,it could have been a mistake lol

Anyway with classics coming out like Mario galaxy 2 and NEW ZELDA.....i just reaaaaally cannot wiat for those lol

I was really excited when they announced the Arcade. I thought it was going to be specifically geared toward XBLA, which is almost all that's interesting to me on 360. Ironic that you don't have the hard drive space on it to download XBLA games... oh well. I can probably live a satisfied life without Shadow Complex and Pac-Man Championship Edition. Probably.

I'm thinking Machu should be banned from now on!

I can buy one in the future so none of that is a problem!^^

So wait, are you saying there are retail 360 exclusives worth a damn out there? Cause apart from Lost Odyssey (and Star Ocean 4 maybe but we all know that won't stay an exclusive for long) I can't think of anything...

Well, if you're interested in multi-platform games primarily, such as Modern Warfare 2 (which he mentioned), it's not a bad idea since the console is cheaper. However, if you're playing online for even just one year, you'll end up paying close to the PS3's cost.

@DJ what about halo 3, gears of war, and.....huh maybe ur right lol but ive been thinking of the same thing, a cheap used 360 for like 150 bucks or a new ps3 for 299

Half of the space the Wii has, and the games are generally much bigger.

I had the same issue a year ago (although I didn't have to dump Wii for one of the systems) but I ended up with the 360. More of my friends play the 360, most of the games I would get for PS3 are on the 360 anyways, and the only exclusive I could see myself getting was LBP and one game wasn't worth the $300 bucks and in terms of return, as far as fun/gameply is concerned, i've already made my money back with the 360.

Don't count on it. I've probably put more time into Pacman CE than any other XBLA game. The game is like crack.

I've played the demo on a friend's 360 and man that was awesome -- beats the pants off of Pac-Man Versus, even, which was great. I'm not sure what crack is like, but I'll take your word for it.

Halo is overrated and GoW is not an exclusive... And I'm sure Halo 3 will come to PC aswell eventually...

You can get Pac-man CE for your mobile phone now. I got it. It's not as good as the XBLA one but it's close enough.
