Liberation Maiden, Mighty Switch Force and a few DSi games(one at a time, no 2 at once)
and most of them were disappointing(none of them truly bad but not the kind of game I'd play more than once)

Pretty much every Wii U indie game that goes on sale. I JUST CAN'T HELP MYSELF!!!

Most games I impulse buy, and generally, they've been pretty good towards me.
For example, I impulse bought Harvest Moon: A New Beginning, and I've been a fan of the series since. I impulse bought Rune Factory 3, and now, I love the games so much, I went to hunt down the rest of the series. I bought Fire Emblem: Awakening and Shin Megami Tensei IV on a whim, and the two games ended up in my top 10 favorite games.
There are so many examples, in my case, that I can't even count them all.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3D Classics. Now I know for sure that I don't like Sonic
Honestly, I never thought Sonic 1 was that good. All the problems in Sonic 1 were fixed in Sonic 2, and to me Sonic 2 is a fine piece of gaming and is often overshadowed by the fact that it looks similar to Sonic 1 and that it came out first. Sonic 2 actually being a personal favorite of mine. To me I view it like the Mega Man series, Mega Man 1 was alright, but Mega Man 2 &3 showed us how awesome the series could be.

I've impulse bought Pokemon Y, Etrian Odyssey Untold, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Elite Beat Agents, Final Fantasy The 4 Heroes of Light and Senran Kagura Burst in the past 6 months. I've enjoyed all of them except for 4 Heroes of Light. Its a little to basic and admittedly kind of bland.
I'll be going back quite some time for some of these...
Fire Emblem: the Sacred Stones (GBA) - I was in Wal-Mart & saw that this in a twin pack with Klax/Marble Madness for $10, and the thought of a RPG where your characters actually died for good sounded compelling, so I picked it up. It was a worthy purchase because it was an amazing game (and heck, even Klax/Marble Madness got in a good amount of time wasting), and I even got my first Nintendo Power subscription through it.
Mobile Light Force 2 (PS2) - I found this in a Goodwill for a few dollars & decided to grab it. Turns out it wasn't anything like what was advertised on the box (the box had a generic image of a group of "Charlies Angel's"-eque women shooting robots, when the actual game was a part of the Castle of Shikigami series), lol. It was my first (and only) "bullet h-ll" shump, and it was one of the most trippy games I have ever played, but it was good fun. I don't think we ever beat it, but me & my friend got awfully close in 2 player mode.
Mario Kart Wii - I had went to GameStop to buy Wii Sports Resort, but they didn't have it & I didn't want to walk out empty handed, so I decided to buy this on a whim. The hours of online fun I got with this made it well worth the purchase. It was quite a step up since it was the first MK I had played since SMK.
Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword (DS) - With my high school graduation money, I had decided to get a DS, and while I had initially planned to just play my GBA games on it until I had the money for a DS game, I had enough left over after the purchase for a cheap game, and since they (GS) had this for under $20, I grabbed it. To this day it's one of my favorite DS games.
Those are some of the more memorable ones.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
A lot of games on sale: Giana Sisters, Knytt Underground, Spin the Bottle, Code of Princess, Cubit the Robot, Megaman X, the one on Gameboy, etc.
Of those I regret getting Cubit and I somewhat regret Code of Princess. The first one for having nearly broken jumps (in a game where your only action is jumping!) and CoP because it got repetitive real soon. It is a beat em up that makes you grind.
I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

Sonic 2 is the only one I don't really like out of 1/3&Knuckles/CD the changes to the physics were bad its good having to roll and it always works out if you are going at maximum that is broken on 2. The creator of Sonic hated 2 as well so much that he refused to let any American's have involvement with 3. The special stages are good on 2 but that is all its also loads too easy.
I think CD is probably my favourite overall (Still not got the good ending on it) and it has the best sound when you hit the signpost at the end of the level - the Japanese one anyway.

Freedom of the press is for those who happen to own one.
Well, now that I got the disappointment out of the way, I could mention some others:
-DoReMi Fantasy: Great!
-Rune Factory 4: Great!
-Etrian Odyssey MG: Repetitive and bland
-Shining Force II: GREAT
-Animal Crossing NL: I enjoyed the first 72 hours, but didn't care for the play for 1 hour a day theme
Current games: Everything on Switch

I impulse bought a Sega Genesis and six games for it at PAX East this year. Okay, well I thought about it for several minutes before purchasing. I have no regrets, except for maybe The Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey and Minnie. Oh well, that was the cheapest game I bought.
I also impulse bought ZombiU a while ago for ten dollars as part of a deal at Nintendo World in New York. I haven't played it much.
i can't remember one game i really bought on impulse. but somtimes i think about buying games for days or wekks and then the real decision is made very spontanously. like a few days ago when i bought urban trials freestyle on the 3DS eshop. and nintendo pocket football club was similair.
Impulse bought Tomb Raider and I loved it. I also got Borderlands. Hated it and found it boring.
Recently impulse bought Assassin's Creed 4 and Need for Speed Most Wanted, both for Wii U. They'll be here Tuesday, so I'll see how I feel about them.
EDIT: I also recall impulse purchasing the Mass Effect trilogy set for PS3 back in October. It was really a heat of the moment thing while I was standing there in EB Games. I thought "I've wanted to play them for a long time and now I can for a convenient price and package.... okay". Done deal. It's now my second favourite series of all time after Zelda.
I have avoided impulse buying any games after I got a boring and badly controlling hot wheels gba game for $15. Played it for 15 minutes and didn't touch it after until I sold it.
