Topic: I'm flying for the first time! and im freaked out ! :/

I am flying far tomorrow and i never been on a airplane.. im kinda freaked out and i was watching this video compliation on youtube.
It kinda freaked me out a bit and i just wanna know if anyone has ever had problems with lightning while flying? I think we will be flying through some storms so i am kinda scared:/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFIlttNtZfM That is the video i saw.. but i see one with the nose blown off front of airplane.. but it was on the ground is why? maybe if you where flying it would not do damage to the body?? i don't know... someone tell me I will be ok ... <.<

....Since when do planes fly through storms? Don't they check this kinda stuff? o.o

I tried flying once, I ended up in a body cast for 6 months. I think I would have succeeded if I had gotten a better run up.

Believe me, (and don't take this the wrong way either), but it always boggles my mind that there are people who will spend their whole life not flying or afraid to fly. There is next to no risk of you dying up in the air (and that chance is like..... .001%) Sure the media (especially in the States) covers every "major" crash to ever happen, but really those are so incredibly rare. I have been flying since I was a month old, I fly at the very least 2-4 times a year (and have done so for my short 18 years!). Worse thing to ever happen??? Turbulence and delays and in the grand scheme of things, neither will kill you.
