If no one hears the sound, I don't think the sound exists. The sound would only exist to the tree, but since the tree has no ears and isn't alive, there is no sound.

Sound Is vibrations that travel though the air that is interpreted by our ears, even if no one hears it the sound is created.

Yes.
If lightning strikes and no one is there to see it, is it still visible?
If there is a garbage dump with no one around to smell it, does it still produce a foul odor?
Yes. Yes.

Dinosaur eggs were around millions of years before there were chickens. So the egg came first.

Since "sounds" are nothing more than vibrations and since a falling tree is bound to collide with a great deal of matter both during the fall and upon impact and thereby create alot of vibrations then yes, of course it makes a sound. How about you trying to be philosophical about something that's actually ambiguous.

Oh and that goes for the whole egg/chicken thing too. The egg was first. Something that almost, but not quite, was a chicken layed a slightly mutated egg from which a chicken hatched. So to simplify it went: Not a chicken -> Egg -> Chicken. There, now that's settled aswell.

Here's another of the same ilk: When a butterfly flaps it's wings in X (e.g., England), does it cause a tsunami in X (e.g. China)?

Answer: No. Of course not. That would be silly.

Ehm... I think you got it wrong there. It's "the flap of a butterfly's wings COULD cause a hurricane on the other side of the world". Keyword here is could. Which hey, it definitely could but it is unlikely, extremely unlikely. Any single butterfly flap is likely to be negated by any other random butterfly flap and a billion other things. But in general, the ripple effect is a very much real thing. If you just knew what to do you could have made almost anything happen in the past or make happen in the future. If I for example was truly omniscient I could probably have Jessica Alba pleasuring me sexually right now. However, the thing is just while anyone has the power to make anything happen, we just don't have enough knowledge to wield that power and no one ever will either... But conceptually it sure is interesting.

Of course something will hear it.
Even if there aren't any people there is still Birds, deer, rodents, wild cats, and god know how many different species of bug some of which may have actually be living in the tree as it fell
