I'd like to see something like iTunes where you can upload DVDs onto your computer or television and create playlists for TV shows. You could also download TV shows either one episode at a time or complete series/seasons.

You can do all of that on iTunes and Handbrake.

EDIT: And how does that fall under iDVD?

I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

I'd like to see something like a toaster where you can put bacon into your toaster or microwave and create delicious sandwiches or meals. You could also upgrade meals either one bacon strip at a time or complete pigs.

Starfox, you would like a lot of things. Most of those things don't have to have a thread for here on NL. Just saying.

What I would like to do, I suppose, is upload DVDs onto iTunes.

I get what he's saying (I think). He wants to be able to upload a DVD to iTunes so he can watch it on his iWhatever like how you can upload CDs.

Oh, that's against the license you're given when you buy a DVD. They have a fair bit of protection in place to prevent ripping DVD videos to your computer. It's possible to do in a questionably-legal manner, but Apple is definitely not going to offer that functionality through any of their software. It's simply not going to happen.

You could always buy the videos from the iTunes store.

It'd be nice to be able to rip DVDs to iTunes (but legally improbable, as HolyMackerel said). I'm none too sold on the idea of watching full movies in teeny eyestrain-o-vision whilst on the bus, but I'm a sucker for music videos which a few of my albums include on a bonus DVD. My iPod is supposed to be able to play music vids, but natch, can only watch ones sold in the iTunes store, the lack of availability of which is the reason I have to import my albums in the first place.

@Raylax I just download music videos from Youtube and put them on my MP3 player. (A Cowon S9, not one of those silly Apple products.) You can do that too!

@Aviator: Haha, didn't know about that. Downloaded it, lets see how it works :3
@HolyMackerel: Heh, didn't know that either. Looks like it's time to download a Youtube ripper again.

I just want to be able to watch my favorite cartoons without changing discs.
