I changed my avatar now to avoid confusion. Do you like my new one?

Much improved, I think.

WaLuigi1982, stop resurrecting old threads. Especially when you have absolutely NOTHING to add to the discussion, like you're demonstrating here. Consider this your warning. Thank you.

@Vendetta Sorry I will just quit coming to the site. If your going to warn me over nothing. If I am not welcome here which I see as the underlining truth behind your reasoning just say so.

@Vendetta Sorry I will just quit coming to the site. If your going to warn me over silly reasons I do not know what to say.
WaLuigi, there are plenty of current topics in which you're welcome to participate, preferably by contributing something on topic. If you're not able to do that, then please just sit back and enjoy the show. Glean what you need, contribute where you can. That's the name of the game here, and we've built a nice community around that. But if your goal is to see your name on the most recent post of every thread, as it seems was the case here? Then yeah, take it elsewhere.
29. Posted: Fri 23rd Oct 2009 06:31 BST
@Vendetta That is furthest from the truth about recent thread post. I was bored and going through older threads but most of them I did contribute. I am sorry for feeling sorry for someone that is suffering with turettes. The I am not sure what to say was a comment out of sympathy. But I think its pretty evident you have something against me for no reason. If threads are old and have not been commented on in a long time and if you personally or the other people that administer this site do not want them old threads commented on. Would it not be the logical choice to simply delete old threads in a timely manner instead of taking it out on me ? I have done nothing wrong. But, go ahead and make false accusations if that makes you feel better.

WaLuigi? If I were to have something against you, then 1.) ALL your recent posts would be gone, and 2.) we wouldn't be having this exchange. Your being bored is no reason to disregard a long-established standard of forum etiquette, which is to not revive long-dead threads.
Another standard of forum etiquette also comes to mind: "do not feed the troll." So with that, I'll consider this conversation over.
31. Posted: Fri 23rd Oct 2009 06:50 BST
I was not being a troll. You provoked me. If you do not want old threads opened either delete them or lock em up after a given amount of time. Good luck with the site and keep up the good work pushing people away from it.@Vendetta boredom is what caused me to go through old threads. False accusations of trying to get my name on the most recent if a blatant lie. That is a petty accusation based on your belief. Mine is I was bored went through some threads and posted comments. I could care less if I was in the most recent thread thing as I could care less about people seeing my name. I am an adult and it has nothing to do with getting my wrist slapped it was the fact instead of being decent you was snide. I am not one of these high school kids on the site. I am not going to back down to no one when you could have conveyed your message a little less hostile.
@Prosody I sent my deletion request in. But since I can obviously still log in on this site can you do anything about it ? Not sure since you have the god shield of you administer or are you a mod ?

...and with you goes the last hope for all those poor, poor threads languishing in obscurity. They'll miss you dearly. Our membership, however, will not.

Wow I think the newer mods have let there unpaid title get to there heads.
34. Posted: Fri 23rd Oct 2009 07:23 BST
Speaking for myself, and maybe even some other staff here, I take no profound joy in deleting members' posts. What happened here, in case you missed it, was one member's admitted boredom getting in the way of his better judgement and causing him to revive posts that were, in some cases, many months old while at the same time adding nothing meaningful. It served no purpose other than to display his name as the most recent poster in most every thread in the General Discussion forum, regardless of his claims to the contrary.
Cleaning up the clutter he left in his boredom's wake is not a case of my "unpaid title going to my head," but rather a result of the responsibility I accepted to maintain a certain standard here from which we all benefit - and to which we can all contribute by not, again, disregarding long-established standards of forum etiquette.
One needn't either be a mod, or have an inflated self-worth - as you assert - to do that.

Guys, just to back up what V says, it's not acceptable to post in topics that have been dormant for months simply to say "I don't know what to say."
WaLuigi1982 - I don't feel Vendetta was being directly challenging to you, and he certainly wasn't trying to get rid of you from the site, he was just trying to make you aware - in a much more placid way than many other members would - that reviving old threads to the front page with such comments isn't really how we do things here at Nintendo Life.
No offence was intended and we're certainly not trying to "push you away", just give you some helpful advice is all.
PS All mods are unpaid
I am not ignoring you. I just do not post much.
Sorry, this topic has been locked.
