This sucks so bad, living in Scandinavia. Denmark, Sweden and Norway doesn't have a Club Nintendo for whatever reason. It's so stupid, I have to envy people in England, Germany and France for being able to purchase Nintendo goodies and have it delivered to their door.

Just yesterday, I had a dream where a Club Nintendo was placed in Scandinavia and we could finally buy stuff from a star catalog.
Haha, yeah, that's right! Nintendo fans dream about Rare games for the VC and import games getting released outside of Japan... Us Scandinavian Nintendo fans dream of something as basal as our own Club Nintendo....

If it's anything like the US's club, you're not missing out on much.

What you mean? What is wrong with the American Club Nintendo?
I just looked at the star catalog, and you guys can get a game and watch collection for DS (which people like me never could get, even if we went to a store to buy it) and then there are the other stuff like the playing cards and the wiimote holder, the DS game rack, and the other stuff.

This sounds a lot better than having nothing at all. I can't even turn my star points into wii points because Scandinavian Wii's don't have the "club nintendo" button in the Wii Shop. And even if I switched my region to UK or some other place with a Club nintendo, I still would need star points in the first place, and seeing as none of the games sold here includes a code for star points, this whole method is pointless!!

And to top it all off, take a look at the Scandinavian Nintendo sites:
www.nintendo.dk www.nintendo.se www.ninetndo.no
The sites get updated once every second week, and what they update is usually stuff everyone already knows, like Pikmin 2 is soon getting released for the Wii.
I HATE Nintendo of Scandinavia, they do an incredible job at keeping is out of all the fun. I remember some years ago, I actually had to import Conker's Bad Fur Day from the UK because it didn't get released here. Can you believe it? I had to import a freaking PAL game from a European country? Most people combine "import" with Japanese or American games, but I had to import a freaking PAL game from the UK cause I couldn't find it anywhere in my own country...

Ok, I'm done with my rant.

The G&W collection doesn't seem very good, and it's only useful if you have a DS, anyway, which I don't. I ordered one just to sell it, haha. The rest of what's on offer looks hardly worth a buck or two, so for that to be the reward for supporting Nintendo with over $800 of purchases is pretty lame. Everything available should be at least slightly cheaper, and even if so, they're nothing worth getting worked up over. Playing cards... yay? A Wii remote holder? Mine is perfectly fine lying on my nightstand, thank you.

Wii Points would be nice (America doesn't have this option), but the exchange rate is so low that it's also hardly worth caring about. Anyway, it sucks that you can't have this since you obviously care about it a lot. I'm just saying as someone who does have it, I think you're exaggerating its worth a lot. If Club Nintendo were anywhere near as great here as it is in Japan, then I'd understand, but aside from one mediocre game collection, it's just a bunch of souvenir-ish junk.

Not trying to tell you how to feel. Just thought it would help ease the pain. ;)

Well, we people at Latin America don't have a Club Nintendo either (actually, we have an official magazine called that, but it doesn't count :P), I perfectly understand your pain, personally I think there should be a Club Nintendo for every region (one can dream right?), but don't worry I'm sure we all will get one someday :).

Some would say that is a fair trade for all the blondes?

I miss Japanese games, the good stuff... Games that are imaginative, have good and unique gameplay, a great soundtrack, and replay value.

It is a bit annoying in this day and age. It might have worked back in the day, but apparently Nintendo hasn't realised that the internet exists yet and that it's quite easy for people to figure out that they're missing out on free stuff.

Having said that, it is a free service so I guess you can't be too upset - though it would be nice if they made Club Nintendo available everywhere. Surely Nintendo could extend the regions their Clubs apply to (e.g. NoA CN applies to all the Americas) and maybe charge some small shipping amount if people want to get their things posted internationally.

I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.

I agree, we should get Club Nintendo in Scandinavia too! I have way too many club Nintendo codes home (you know, the ones that is inside a game when you buy it), and I can't use them... ;(
