@Adam - I once considered making an Italian Thread at one point, but what prevented me from doing that were the rival threads of the British Thread at the time. Of course, that was months ago. Perhaps I can make the Italian Thread now (perhaps).

Making Spanish the official second language of Los Estados Unidos is long overdue, but that day is coming my friends - embrace it and the opportunities it brings!
Definitely a language I need to learn more of in the future; as with other ones I've dabbled in no doubt a holiday to Spain or Mexico will provide the necessary catalyst. Oaxaca State is someplace I'm keen to see.
Here's a sidebar question: we have lot of developers in Spain and others in Spansh-speaking countries in the Americas, so where are the games featuring a strong Spanish/Latin American cultural component? I was sort of trying to get at this in the interview with Virtual Toys referencing Cervantes, but I'd love to see more games exploiting the culture richness of places other than Japan and the English-speaking world which have traditionally dominated video games.
Oh and Gabe, love your keyboard (I have one of those too)!

Well, we don't have any official languages, but I'm ready for such a time. It makes me glad I took up a more practical (relative to my location) second language while some of my friends were learning French or German.

They fear it won't sell is the most likely reason. They probably think that they have to cater to their market.
