I am 5'8 but was always smallest in my class up to i was 17 or 18 when i had a growth spurt, and honestly i quite miss being small, despite being called shortass and the like i did seem to have more success with the ladies.
This is good

I'm either 6'3" or 6'4"...been growing lately, I think. I'm 20, so I probably don't have much further to go.
I was all prepared to be the tallest guy around until I read PhoenixSage's post. Thanks a lot, dude. I see there are also some posters who WILL be taller than me in a few years.
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P

Sorry, StuffGamer1. It really isn't that sweet of a gig. Random people stop me on the street and tell me I'm tall. That really annoys me. I mean, how are you supposed to respond to that? "Yeah, you're short." I don't think that would go over well...

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

Honestly, being as tall as I am isn't such a sweet gig; I just wanted pointless bragging rights on this forum.
I do get tired of being taller than ALMOST everyone I know, which leads to me being EXTREMELY uncomfortable in close proximity to the taller people. And people do randomly call me tall, though much, MUCH less than they do you, I'm sure.

Yeah, people automaticaly assume being tall is great, but it really is a chore sometimes. I'd give some of my inches to people on this thread, if it were possible.

I like it just fine at 5'5". I'm taller than both of my parents, so I'm happy with that.

@Kizzi: I played basketball in middle school. When I got to high school, I was forced to play football...(shudders) I hated playing football so very much.
I'll play basketball every now and again, but I'm not very good. I can't jump.

@Sean Aaron: yeah, and I have NO IDEA what that equates to in the Foot/Pound/Second system. Very helpful.
Basketball questions also get very old when you're tall, because people just make dumb assumptions. I'm horrible at basketball, and pretty much every sport, really.

Despite what you may think, you probably will have a sport that you're really good at but its not a common sport. For example, i thot my dad was very horrible at sports and i assumed hes bad at all sports too because of his physique, but then i saw him playing my uncle in ping pong...n squash...and i was like....holy crap hes amazing lol. You might have already, but look at less common sports if you don't like norm ones, and you may really like it. To me a good sport can really be the ultimate pass time, its very good for you and you enjoy doing it, so don't cut out sports from ur life

Man im afraid to say most people i know still do the something foot sumthing system, even in sports players arent listed in cm u know...the non-metric system (dunno wat its called) FTW
59. Posted: Sat 20th Jun 2009 08:24 BST
@DaDun: if you're talking about measuring in feet and pounds, depending on where you are it could be American, English, or Imperial (technically, the three labels are not interchangeable, but people usually get them mixed up to refer to non-metric measurements D: ).
also, I'm 5'7", give or take a couple more inches if I'm in heels.

A measly 5'6". I ought to move back to Japan because that's about the average height there.
