In my case I have a habit of either fully unlocking/completing everything, or just moving on to something else as soon as I at least finish the main story of a game (such as not getting all the stars in Mario Galaxy for example), so it kinda depends on the particular game for me. Every now and then I'll come back to an old game and mess around for a few levels or do an entire playthrough again, but otherwise I just play games that have great replayability like the Smash Bros. and Mario Kart series while waiting for the next eventual purchase.

If it has been long enough then I will replay games I have enjoyed. For most games that amount of time is until I say 'Wouldn't it be awesome to play Yoshi's Island again?', and for RPGs it involves me forgetting a lot of the details so I can experience it again.

Really often depending on the game.
Not the case with the Super Mario Galaxy games though. I just can't bring myself to play them after getting 100% with each character.

A couple of fantastic examples would be and of the Metroid Primes and any of the old school mansion type Resident Evil games. I play through the RE games about 10 times each, each year.

Depends on the game. If it's a Zelda, not for a while. However, I've been playing KIU for over a year, and it just never gets old. I'm also playing through Awakening a second time, so it really just depends.

I will randomly go back and replay beaten games after a long period of time and during the summer, although certain games that I really enjoy, like Pikmin 2 (especially Pikmin 2), Luigi's Mansion, and Super Mario Sunshine I come back to often. Seems like many of the games I go replay happen to be on the Gamecube. However, I have noticed that for DS and 3DS games, I tend to not ever go back to games again once I've beaten it, unless it has multiplayer. Odd but true. If I still had my Nintendo 64, I would replay DK64 a lot.

Also, I've tried to replay Pokemon games through again, but I pretty much never get to the elite four.

It completely depends on the game. I'd say about 3/4 of the games I play I only beat once.. For example, I rarely ever play a rpg twice, but I can play a platformer multiple times..

Well granted NES games are really fast to beat, but I average beating Super C about 100 times every month.

That obviously depends on how much i enjoy the game. As of right now I have a pretty bug backlog, so i'm more focused on beating games than replaying them.

It varies based on how much enjoyment I have with the game, game length and mood. For instance, Super Mario 64 DS takes me around 5-6 hours to beat (credits) and I'm very exposed to Mario games, so I tend to replay the game 2-3 times a year. Then there's Metroid Prime Hunters, which I replay upwards of 40-50 times a year with its combo of being a game I enjoy a lot and a game I can finish quickly. There are those games like Dementium and Moon as well, when my replays happen the most around October. Animal Crossing Wild World is similar in that I revisit the game mainly in the summer months.

Probably something like once every 2-3 years for most of my favorite games, and once every 3-4 years for my favorite RPGs.

Rarely.

I tend to replay Kirby's Dreamland a lot for some reason, but other than that, the only other games I've replayed are Kingdom Hearts, The Legend of Zelda: the Minish Cap, Metroid Fusion, & Fire Emblem: the Sacred Stones (the last three because of the Ambassador Program).

If I get the chance, I'd love to replay Final Fantasy X & The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess again. As some of my favorite games, I'd love to see how they hold up (especially FFX, since it's probably been 10 years). I'll probably replay Tales of the Abyss though, as it gives a good incentive to do so.

PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Very rarely. And it has to be a game that is either fairly short/easy to beat, or if I haven't played it for a long time.

This. I will also go back and replay a game (usually RPGs) I never beat, but can't remember what the heck is going on, but if I can remember a bit of the story then I don't.

Metal gear solid 3 a few times a year, kirby's dreamland way too frequently, Sonic adventure 1 &2 at least once a year, and Luigi's mansion 1 at least 5 times a year, with my record for one year being 20.
