And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

I tend to consider that oftentimes the time I may spend clearing completionist objectives could be better used to beat a whole game. While, in the other hand, it's not uncommon for those objectives to deliver absolutely no new content

Depends. Sometimes I spend too much time 100% a game, but most of the time, it's either a case of mostly being worthwhile (because tbh, very few games where 100% is an accomplishment are able to fully avoid having something about that optional content being awful), or being a good, tolerable waste of time.

Though it's annoying when I try to do everything in a game and one or two things make it a nightmare to do so and I almost have no choice but to either use a walkthrough or give up.

My gaming time is limited. I try to 100% most Zelda games (minus spinoffs), but otherwise I only bother 100%ing the games that I truly enjoy. My time, sanity, and backlog thank me for it. XD

I do try to complete the main story or primary mode for a game unless I'm really not enjoying what I'm playing.

Currently playing: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)
