Yep. That's why it sucks. The obvious choice won't get picked since 3 times the people are for Freeman.

i never thought gordon would win out of the final 4.... i never even saw him going past 16... that's crazy. i expected a link, kratos, snake, master chief showdown...

I voted for Mario. No hard feelings, Gordon, but you can't beat the master.

I'm drawing a blank on who Gordon Freeman is as well.

Gordon Freeman would obliterate Mario if they ever got into a fight. People who like Mario are either trying to be annoying, or sound cultured. I bet only 1% of Mario fans genuinely like him. I don't blame them, how could you like him, he's terrible. Oh, and Gordon Freeman's cooler anyway, though he's pretty awful as well. The real story in Half-Life is the G-Man.

gordon freeman of half-life fame. i'm surprised. i've never played the games (though i just downloaded the first off steam), but i knew who he was. he's quite the famous character, just not a hero of the same time-tested caliber as Mario.

OK Superman, we get the picture. I already voted for Mario, but I won't be mad if he loses because this is just a stupid popularity contest anyways. The only thing that even interested me about this contest was the Bub & Bob/4chan scandel, which is now over. I really hope none of you people are actually taking this contest seriously... Gordon Freeman probably has the help of proxies anyways, just like Bub & Bob did.

i don't think either is particularly great as far as heroes are concerned. gordon is too nerdy to be a real threat.. he just doesn't have that HERO factor. and bowser's a pushover these days. besides mario's dumb as a brick given that he's not put SOME kind of measures in place to keep bowser from kidnapping his woman every five minutes. and in a fight, gordon would win, yes, but Mario does have a more intricate, lengthy, and storied history, so i went with him. would have much preferred Samus or Link, though.

I didn't realize most of the population on Gamespot were Sony and Microsoft fanboys. No wonder Mario is getting beat.

But oh well, doesn't really matter who wins, won't change my opinion any.

@Superman: Why did you post the same thing twice? And cultured? Mario? Do you even know how silly that sounds? (Even if you are just trying to press peoples buttons.) I like mario, but I don't think culture when I think of him.
