I pretty much fit the description. I've had glasses most of my life. I'm usually a very goofy person. Always making faces and acting silly. A bit clumsy too. I have a yearbook from Jr. high school that a few kids I knew signed and one of them wrote (stay weird.) I've also never been that popular with the ladies. I guess I probably am a nerd but at least I'm not into drugs. I'd rather blow money on my Videogames.

My friend called me a nerd when I mentioned my envy of the austrailians getting a pure white lover bizarre jelly 5 t-shirt with their NMH2 pre-order.

Having glasses doesn't mean you're a nerd. It means you have lousy vision and don't want to keep up with contacts.

But yes, i am a nerd in many ways and have been called one, but I'm not ashamed

Have I? Yes. Does it bother me? No. Why? Because I'm not really a nerd, the more you look at me in person the more you realize that I'm really muscular and I could kick your ass. Unlike a "nerd".

I've been called one. Doesn't bother me in the least.

No, I've never been called a nerd. On the other hand, I have been called a dork and a geek before. It doesn't really bother me though, because I was called that by my best friend, who is probably the nerdiest person I have ever met.

I have and whoever said it was wrong. I would say I'm more of a geek than a nerd.

I'm back (for the moment)!

I've been called a nerd because that's exactly what I am!

Having said that, most of the people who called me a nerd did so because I preferred to play Pokemon to GTA (This was when we were about 11 years old) and never swore or used words like 'gay' as an insult. I wonder who's doing better now...?

Yes.

I'm gone. Good f*cking bye.

bro2dragons

yes, and by my girlfriend no less. haha

really, that's mostly playful teasing, but it's true at the same time. she does think i'm a nerd (and yes, i am one in many ways), but not to the point of being socially awkward.

yes but only by my friends, never seriously. the funny thing is is that half of my friends are nerds.

Yes, yes I have been. As well as geek. Generally by my wife and son, who like to draw comparisons to Sheldon in the Big Bang Theory.

Actually, in the episode where the guys are online gaming in the opening, my husband kept looking at me, then at the tv, then at me... finally saying "My god, you are a nerd!"

I've never really considered myself a nerd, but now that I think about it, in college my fraternity brothers and I took revenge on the jock frat who constantly made fun of us and even debated the legitimacy of our group. There were hidden cameras, a panty raid, and it all came to a head at the homecoming celebration at which we showed them up with an impressive techno musical number. Next year, we plan to visit paradise. So, maybe I am a nerd.
