Topic: Have you ever been banned from a gaming site?

I've been banned from Gamespot before....it was an account suicide. Has anyone done something like that?

I keep trying to get banned here, but the mods won't get off their butts and do it.

it's not laziness, it's because they don't want to tick off someone Iwata hangs out with on a regular basis. it's an indirect form of sucking up to the man himself... think of it as diplomatic immunity for CB.

No, though I did get put on "ignore" on Eurogamer (not a banning, but it prevents your posts being visible to others). This was due to the less than evenhanded moderation in effect during a bit of flamewar in the Wii threads (you must prepare for battle to post positively about the Wii there!). I didn't realise what had happened at first, then when I did I deleted my account (for the second time), but people convinced me to come back so I did. Now I post very very rarely there.

When I did my account suicide on Gamespot....I posted at least 3 pages of **** in the off topic section......I was completely shocked they let it go on for so long before kicking me out.

Of course, what other way? Actually, only forever on my brother's backup. A few weeks banned never hurt an addicted at-the-time 7-year-old.

I shoud have been banned but my "actions" wear split between mods and were not added
