I used to play my games for nearly two days straight without stopping when I was little and never once did I burn out a system. I did fry my original Gameboy once but that was because I tried to use an AC adaptor meant for a CD player. The back of my Gameboy started smoking and I heard this sizzling sound and that was the end of it.

Ive never done it either.. maybe cause nintendo systems are really resistant.. You can smash em with a bat and theyll still work

no, but i had an old handheld PC (a Phillips Velo 1) that began to release the magic blue smoke one night (i always used it with its AC adapter because it literally ate batteries liek whoa, and I noticed it was smoking from where the adapter plugged into the device... scary!), so I had to stop using it with the adapter, which meant I couldn't use it anymore for what I needed it for. I was sad.

Me and a buddy played Mario Kart Double Dash for, like, 16 hours straight once and the game stopped working.

Mines Never had that with any system cause i turn mine off ^^

My wii stopped working possibly from it overheating by being on standby all the time.
