Topic: Have you eaten siroopwafels? (And other questions)

So here's the goodie bag I got from the 3DS event:

Untitled

Here's what was inside:

Moet & Chandon champagne;
Hotel Chocolat assortment;
Berocca tablets (energy supplements, vitamins basically);
Red Bull energy shot (which I wasted by drinking it when I got home then falling asleep immediately, haha);
Assortment of Dutch biscuits, crisp cakes etc.;
A tube of Mentos;
And a tin of "goudse siroopwafels" (hope I've got that right!)

Untitled

These are the most amazing things ever. Imagine waffles filled with syrup, but they're actually thin and crispy, like wafers almost. They're so addictive I've eaten 14 of them today.

Have you eaten siroopwafels? Do you find them delicious? Tell me all your siroopwafel thoughts, please.

So nothing to do with Nintendo at all? Not even a keyring?
Still, the waffles look good, there's something like those in my newsagents...

@Jango Not a single game-related item in there, but I did get a sweet wristband and a map of the Expo centre. Pretty cool, am I right?

@Des You can imagine the disappointment as dozens of journalists opened their hotel room doors after a long day, found a bag with 3DS on it and found inside... VITAMINS!!

I- I don't need your siroopwafels, they don't look good in the slightest.
/me is full of BS, 'cuz he's actually tasted something like that and they're the next best waffles in the world. D:

I have a Backloggery now! Nothin' fancy, but feel free to add me as a friend.

Is the goody bag just random things the event hosts could grab from the local Tesco on the way to the venue?

I look forward to hearing about an attendee coming home to discover his goody bag contains a cabbage, some baby oil, a bag of fruit gums and a box of tampax.

Hey Raylax, if someone leaves a bag full of champagne, expensive chocolates, energy drinks and delicious waffles in your house one day, and you don't want it, please let me know as I'd gladly take them off your hands

i have had waffles with syrup (or siroop, if you must), but never these. In America, all breakfast type products sold must include bacon or bacon product. I am not making this up.

@Raylax, I can only imagine the type of conference where those items would be appropriate goody bag contents. That conference would be the Nintendolife Chat meetup.

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

Sounds like a nice goodie basket.

I've actually had "stroopwafles" before. And yeah they are delicious. They're probably one of my favourite dutch desserts.

Yep, they're pretty good. I've got an international foods grocery store right down the b!lock from me and the owner tipped me off to them. Tasty!

I'll admit I was thrown off course by the Berocca and the Mentos.

Desserts? They've been my lunch and dinner today, with one left for breakfast tomorrow. That's a balanced diet, right?

So you just found them at your hotel. . . . . .Talk about service!

Maybe this is one of Nintendo's strange ways of alleviating the higher EU price-point!
