One of my friend thinks the wii is only good for 3-year-olds, another one is almost forcing me to get a 360, and they think me reserving and getting Bowser's Inside Story is the worst idea ever, saying I should b more excited for Halo 3 ODST. I try to convince them that the wii has plenty of hardcore titles, i still remain a wii fanboy, and Bowser's Inside Story is the game of the year. But, they ignore me. Anyone else been assaulted like this?

Meh another case of teenagers who try to be cool by being assholes (just a guess).
Be yourself and be happy for doing so.
For example I always liked Pokémon since Blue when i was a kid, i remember to hide it in my teenagers days in fear of other making fun of me, now as a adult, i dealed with it, i proudly say that i sill love playing it, and if someone mock my tastes they are just people who doesn't diserve my attention.
So in your case try awser them like "No thanks i'm actually secure of myself enough to play what i want without fearing others" or something like that.

Not many of my Friends are as interested in video games as I am and I'm not one to try and socialize with other (what I'd consider to be) normal people by talking about them unless they started to first. Because of this, I fortunately don't get insulted that much

Truth be told, most of my friends own Xbox 360 and PS3 systems, with only really two that own a Wii, and one of those is for his children. But they've never insulted me about it.

Those are very encouraging words, just beautiful. Just for that I won't care what people think of me when I start reading my Pokemon manga during class thanks MrPinguy.
