Topic: Has the Club Nintendo year for 2012 started?

I want to start redeeming coins, but I don't want to have accidentally wasted them. Am I right in assuming there's a dead zone after the Club Nintendo year ends and the new year begins where coins are not counted towards Gold/Platinum status. If I started adding coins to my account now would they go towards my gold/platinum status for next year?

I don't think there's a "dead period". I believe the new "year" begins right after the last one ends, as far as i have been able to tell.

there is no 'dead zone'. as soon as one CN year ends, the next begins immediately. any coins earned now will count toward your gold/platinum status next June. :3
