Topic: Has AVGN Finally Gotten Stale?

Sonic 06? is there like some kind of internet reviewer requirement or checklist that one needs to play Sonic 06 or review that game?

avgn is still funny.

AVGN is still great. I loved his recent Big Rigs episode.

Ever since he's passed 100 episodes, he's been a little bumpy in terms of being clever and/or comedic with his Nerd videos.

I think the very best ones he's done since the 100th ep. are Atari Sports and Big Rigs. He still has it, but I think the Nerd should be used more sparingly now; especially if he's trying to finish a movie, trying to raise his daughter, etc. etc.

James & Mike Play/Mondays is another story, though.

I still watch his stuff.
Even if I don't laugh at them sometimes, I still enjoy watching the episodes because I find them entertaining.

While I've seen pretty much all of AVGN's stuff, I still enjoy his videos. Regardless of whether or not the quality has suffered, I just hope that he gets help soon, before it's too late.

Uhh, because that's blatant copyright violation? If he's only sending you messages he's being extremely nice about it - he could just report it to Google and after three instances they would ban your account.

Haha wow. Your whole channel is filled with other people's YouTube videos that you have stolen. Pretty pathetic, and as the other guy said, you are VERY lucky it hasn't been deleted yet.

i used to really like his old stuff, haven't gone back to watch it again, but i know that sometimes the most hilarious stuff is not always as good the second time you watch it. i haven't really been keeping up with his new stuff though. i actually really like jon tron nowadays, it reminds me a lot of avgn's old stuff, when he was the angry nintendo nerd, and not the angry atari/sega nerd lol.

Watching older Jontron made me reminiscent of classic AVGN, but comparing modern Jontron to old AVGN? Seems like you're comparing apples to oranges my friend, haha. Present Jontron's humor relies almost solely on editing techniques. Generally, the format is that he finds a strange or just flat out bad moment in a game, and it leads to some heavily edited yet unpredictable joke... Not exactly the Nerd's usual or even older comedy style.

I also find that Jontron is a lot better with subversion than James. Hard to anticipate a lot of Jon's jokes, but it doesn't take a "true" AVGN enthusiast to tell you what his joke's punch-line will be like.

As for the rest[ish] of you, it's interesting to see people's take on the Nerd nowadays. Opinions are actually more varied than I thought to be quite honest, interesting!

This is unbelievably disrespectful to both James and Mike, you don't even have a right to complain about it really. Even if you thought their videos were complete rubbish, any content producer will tell you making a video is a very long and arduous process. And to just steal them like that? Despicable.

I definitely think something changed after 2009/2010.

I thought Big Rigs was hilarious. Other than that, though, the "great" episodes are getting further and further between.

Still not complaining. It may not be as funny as it once was, but it's still funny enough for me.

I never said that you reuploading their videos meant you must of despised their content. I'm just saying that no matter what your stance is on their videos, you don't have a right to reupload their videos to make sure they don't get view revenue and what-not. Just out of curiosity though, why are you exactly even uploading their content?
