I was a little disappointed with the 2nd episode tbh. But then it was late. 0_o I shall see how the next two go before passing judgement.

I liked the second episode. A bit slower in pace, it felt like it could have been the second half of the pilot (and they probably should have been presented that way).
The son (Tyler) is the onl;y character who's annoying me so far. He's not written too well, it's just like "Yeah, the Vs are cool, i'm gonna join! Plus, it'll create dramatic tension with my mom!" Of course, if Laura Vandervoot was recruiting me, i'd probably be right there with him. =) He's no Daniel Bernstein or Shawn Donovan from the originals though!
Strangely enough, Scot Wolf is not annotying me, as i expected him to do with his mere presence. But he is well-cast for the role they have him in, and plays off Morena Baccarin (Anna) well.
She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong. Also, Lindsey Stirling. Because violin awesomeness.

So they have now shown the first 4 episodes and I must say that I'm impressed!
The last two episodes in particular were amazing and had some of that classic "V" feel, but with a new twist and the final shot of all of the motherships coming from deep space left me speechless!!

I am very pleased with the first batch of episodes. I knew going in that i would be watching the show no matter what, beign the huge V fan that i was/am, but thnakfully, it's actually very good so far. In retrospect, the fast pacing of the first episode makes sense, since they knew that everybody watching either knew the "V basics" from the originals or from all the hype leading up to the new show, and they clearly wanted to get those out of the way so they could get right into it.
I must say, i especially love the heavy emphasis on the Fifth Column, which was always one of my favorite aspects of the original -- Martin was one of my favorite characters back in the day, and i like that they're having Joshua in a similar role (one of Anna's closest advisors, just as Martin was for Diana).
So looking forward to the new episodes next year. Between V and Lost, ABC will have me hooked for the first half of 2010!

The show is better than I expected to. And the show has done an amazing job of keeping their evil agenda a mystery. Do they eat people too?
Visually, I think the show has been stunning. It always cool to see the Visters line themselves up in meetings like a "V."

I like too that they're occasionally introducing V technology, but not hitting the audience over the head with it. A lot of sci-fi can be overwritten, when screenwriters or network execs are worried that the audience (which they presume have a collective IQ of around 12) may not understand what's going on (as in the whole "too cerebral" crticisms of the original Star Trek).
And yes, agreed on the stylistic direction and such -- like the Visitors lining up in a V, or the fleet formation also being in a tradtional V formation. Good direction overall, with nice quiet yet menacing shots of Anna and such. Man, i can't wait for new episodes. I'm going to end up watching these 4 on Hulu several times between now and then.
And i still can't believe that i actually enjoy Scott Wolf in his role. Well written, and he's pulling it off well. The whole series is cast well too; kudos to the casting director and team for the choices they went with.
