So, let's start discussing ;

  • When did you know about Harvest Moon?
  • What's the first ever HM game you've played?
  • What's your favorite HM game?
  • Do you still play Harvest Moon?

When did you know about Harvest Moon?
The first time knew about Harvest Moon was a few years back when i bought a GBA Advanced SP and decided to buy games for it.
that's when i found out about HM : Friends of Mineral Town.

What's the first ever HM game you've played?
The first ever HM game i've played was HM : FoMT as mentioned above.

What's your favorite HM game?
My favorite HM is still the first one i've played. but i'm really liking Harvest Moon : DS but it has a lot of glitches.

Do you still play Harvest Moon?
Yes! and i'm planning to buy HM games for other platforms.

So how about you?

I started playing harvest moon when I was 10, and I haven't stopped since (2003).

The ones that really caught my attention were Harvest Moon 64 and the Rune Factory series. The other games i've played just seem to miss the charm that these ones have. I have the original on VC and it's pretty good (but days don't last long enough).

I love HM. I found it when we were renting games. I saw and it looked pretty cool so I brought it home, played it, and loved it.

First HM game: Another Wonderful Life (GCN)

Favorite: Havest Moon 64, you can't play as a girl but it's still great.

Do I still play: Of course!

I'm not sure what age I was when I discovered Harvest Moon but my first was HM64 and my favourite so far is Tree of Tranquility (currently playing). I'm eagerly awaiting a release date for Animal Parade though. Anyone know if this will ever be out in Europe?

My first was Rune Factory, but it is actually my girlfriend`s. She is obsessed with Harvest Moon games.

It might not be very attractive when you first see it, but it'll get very addicting once you start playing.

The beauty is in the code, not the graphics.
When Animal Crossing came out, it practically replaced Harvest Moon, but I just bought the DS version and have been playing it non-stop.

In ToT, I usually pick Gill or Luke, but lately Calvin has been my favourite, so I'll say him.

I've played quite a few HM's and I always start out loving them and have good intentions of tending my farm everyday, this usually lasts about a week.Unfortunately tedium soon sets in for me,they become almost a chore and I end up not playing them again. I think I may give Rune Factory a try somewhere down the line though as that seems to mix up the gameplay a bit more and may suit my tastes better. There definitely charming games though ,that's why I always get suckered in and buy them even though the gameplay is near identical to the SNES version .

What's this bit for again?

I personally like how the game play stays the same. They change everything from the scenery and residents but always keep the main thing consistent, that is running a farm.

My first was Magical Melody last year. Played for 365 hours, and there was a stretch of something like three months in which I didn't play any other video game. I guess you could say I was smitten. I got Friends of Mineral Town and am into that now, and I'm eyeing the original Harvest Moon for my next HM console experience.

Started playing Harvest Moon on the SNES and played them all the way through up until the PS2 era. I missed a few here and there, but I had a great time with them. I think it was the Gamecube one I really enjoyed. I remember (not wich one) the first time you were able to have a kid in one. We played that one through prob 5 times. I did tire of the series. I keep on thinking Ill grab Rune Factory but I still havent done it.

I've played most of them, from the SNES and GBC through to Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility and the DS Rune Factory.

I do prefer the Classic Harvest Moon to the hybrid RPGs, and Tree of Tranquility is probably my favourite. Vastly underrated game.

Today I was pleased to find out my ToT isn't a glitched copy, so I can marry Calvin.

I was expecting the screen to freeze when I got to Level 10 of the mine.

I've had both Island of Happiness and Tree of Tranquility. They were both traded in for some reason I can't remember.
I'm thinking about getting either Sunshine Islands or Animal Parade though.

I'd say out of the two I had, Tree of Tranquility was my favorite.
