Topic: Hardcore/Casual.....What are You?

Whoa, did you get an advanced copy of NSMB Wii with Demo Play - the game that plays itself?

I play games that I enjoy and don't play games that I don't enjoy. What label is that?

I'm none of the above, I'm just a gamer who's been gaming since 1983 and never looked back. I play what I like and in terms of multiplayer I usually put up a good challenge, I'm not the best but I'm damn good at what I do.

I think the line between casual gamers and hardcore has been very blurred lately. To me hardcore is more about having a pure passion for gaming in general than the style of games. I absolutely LOVE racing games. I also have a big passion for gaming roots....the 8 and 16 bit eras mostly wich by nature have a big tendency to be very hard games and I guess that is why I like challenging games as well. BUT now Im playing The Legendary Starfy and its a nice casual laid back style and I love that too as well as Kirby series (fav being the GB one) and that not what people call hardcore by no means. I still consider myself hardcore because I play games everyday and always will and the majority of my extra money will go to the gaming industry wich in turn keeps the industry running. I think that is the true CORE of gaming. The gamers.

I'm in the middle, leaning just a bit to casual games

same here, I find most of these "hardcore" gamers only want games that have blood, sex, & cussing. That's not being a gamer to me, that's being a little kid trying to see & hear things they aren't supposed to see & hear.

@Twilight....I saw that alot when I used to play Microsoft games online. I got out of that pretty quickly. I dont really associate addiction gaming to hardcore gaming.
