Rockstar thinks of games as drugs, take a look at their logo, it resembles the drug logo Rx. What engine does most of their current games run off of? The Euphoria engine. They believe games are like drugs and people are mindless users, they target insecure people who have a hard time thinking for themselves.
Interesting thoughts, sounds like you strongly dislike Rockstar. Even so I wouldn't classify video game players of a particular series into a negative category such as "brain dead," mindless, or insecure. I am sure there a lot of intelligent secure people who play Rockstar games along with Zelda and Portal. I am not sure about Brain Age though, never met someone anyone who has played it that I know of.

I've just met a lot of douchey insecure people who've attached their self esteem to GTA throughout the years, trying to be all 80's because of Vice City, or "gangsta" from San Andreas. All I'm basically saying is that I don't like Rockstars games or what they stand for. Again, I didn't want to offend anyone. Perhaps this was not the place to express my opinion.

The thing i like about GTA is the gameplay and freedom. Still, the lingering feeling in the background when i'm playing these games is always somehow negative. Maybe it's because all the senseless murdering in game and characters which are all more or less corrupted and repulsive. GTA has never evoked any positive or noble feeling in me. Anyways, if the miracle happens and they develop this to Wii U, i'll probably buy it for just to experience the gameplay, and GTA games are usually good timekillers when i'm bored.

The only GTA game I have ever played was San Andreas because the character was an early 90's gangster. I doubt I will be interested in this, I passed on GTA IV.
Exactly, although I did mess around a little bit on GTA 3, I didn't really play through the game. I just wounder who it's going to be that HAS to show me the ever so great GTA 5 when it comes out. I'm sure they will give me ample time to become a personal believer/investor. Once it becomes clear I will not be buying, I'll witness.

I don't hang out with to many people that play video games so I have never observed the douchy Rockstar reenactment phenomenon. I will go out on a limb here and say that all forms of media and entertianment can have affects on a person though and not just the games of Rockstar. Overall it sounds like you think Rockstar does a very good job immersing the player into their games. Rockstar games are certainly not my favorite by any means but how you negatively portrayed people who play them is what I take issue with. Besides it makes you sound like a parent or worse Hilary Clinton.

The Euphoria engine was made by LucasArts, it has absolutely nothing to do with drugs.
GTA has always been about social satire and parody. GTA IV took things a little too seriously, but The Ballad of Gay Tony was more lighthearted.
