I am surprised that you never played GTA: Vice City which takes place in the 80's. The did a good job capturing the image of the 80's with its rockin 80's tunes to the 80's style clothing.

Yeah Vice City also happened to be my favorite as well. For some reason I just couldnt get into GTA:SA or GTA IV. Depending on the back ground to this one I may check it out.

He said he played San Andreas. Not Vice City.

During 2003-2007 I had an Xbox but didn't play much in the way of video games. Mainly just sports like Madden and NCAA Football and the occassional big name game like Halo. Vice City never really caught my attention as opposed to San Andreas which seemed like you heard about that game just about everywhere. The 80's theme does very sound very cool though, wish I did not miss out on that one.

San Andreas is still my favorite game in the series.

The Only Problem I had with it and IV was the writing of CJ and Niko were inconsistent. They both were trying to get a new start and live a new life but everything they did contidicted it. Wouldn't have minded it if by the end they realized that they had to do these things but even then it was bad.

you picked the wroooong thing to say to a forum full of Nintendo fans, I can name at least 20 male nintendo fans of the top of my head, I'm betting it'll make it to the Wii U (if not, than GTA 6 will)

I hope you're right, and i'm actually a Nintendo fan myself. I was just using rather clumsy sarcasm against those who claim that Nintendo is only for kids . Nevertheless, i still don't believe that they bring GTA V to Wii U.

I'm with you there! Mindless games, made for mindless people, made by mindless people. They went from being comedy and satire, to a negative and depressing outlook on society. I think once the creator of the original two games left, they started taking it too seriously or something.

(No offence to anyone here who likes GTA, I'm just saying it's targeted to the bored and mindless masses, not that EVERYONE who plays it is either one..)

sorry I have trouble picking up sarcasm over the internet, and I hope you're wrong about GTA not coming to the Wii U, that would be a day 1 buy for me

Woah, I wish I could see the trailer. It's weird that my school has basically blocked off every video game related website, but somehow has missed NintendoLife...

Mainly every game is targeted toward the masses yes, but not every game gets eaten up by mindless people. Why? because there are games that, unlike GTA, require you to use and exercise your BRAIN. For example Portal, or Zelda, or probably the best example Brain Age!

Rockstar thinks of games as drugs, take a look at their logo, it resembles the drug logo Rx. What engine does most of their current games run off of? The Euphoria engine. They believe games are like drugs and people are mindless users, they target insecure people who have a hard time thinking for themselves.

I see this game coming out for next gen consoles- then again, the trailer is coming out soon.

As for where this game takes place, I have to say Washington DC just cause the logo kinda points to it.

What I want: the main character to be female. C'mon, it'd be different and new for GTA. Or have the option to play as a woman with a different story. Probably too much to ask, but because WiiU and PS3 have discs that support up to 25GB, they could really make use of the space to overcome limitations. Dunno, just throwing something out there.

Interesting thoughts, sounds like you strongly dislike Rockstar. Even so I wouldn't classify video game players of a particular series into a negative category such as "brain dead," mindless, or insecure. I am sure there a lot of intelligent secure people who play Rockstar games along with Zelda and Portal. I am not sure about Brain Age though, never met someone anyone who has played it that I know of.

All the games up to IV were a satire on the american dream at different points in time. (the 80s,90s) the IV is still a satire and is still humrous in a very dry dark humor sort of way. Listen to the radio shows and pay attention to the enviorment around you.

The Story was very well done with losts of cool characters if your into crime movies. The problem is the realism in story telling took away the camp and crazy missions that made the other games good.

People who call GTA mindless clearly don't understand satire.
