What, we don't provide care for those that need it the most? No only the destitute but those that work an honest job, are barely keeping their heads above water and have to decide between medicine and food? Those that have chronic conditions that could be kept at a level that wouldn't interfere with their day to day lives if only they had the means, but instead most suffer and die 20 years before their time?

Obama said in his infomertial on ABC that instead of giving someone the necessary medical treatment. To instead give them a pain pill and let them go.

Do you have a link for this?
Doesn't sound like anything that is going to back up the death panel claims. If you don't agree with it, that's your opinion and I'm more than happy to argue the issue with you. I just hate when this particular peice of misinformation shows up.

Gasp! It's a good thing that insurance companies don't refuse service to anyone. Wait, that's exactly what happens. Insurance will fight any charge that they can, and those seen as cash sinks are dropped the first chance they get. Rising premiums, countless loopholes, anything. And once you're dropped if you're suffering from something chronic you're not getting back in.

So because those countries are fine with it means we should bring it to the US? We aren't all the same.

The problem with all those who voted "No" is that it's safe to say that they thought it would've been a good idea to have had Sarah Palin as Vice President of the United States of America!

I'm saying, there is evidence that it works. You don't look at England as a third world country. If a certain model can be emulated, then I don't see why not.

Honestly, I wish I could trust you. I wish that the system works. It doesn't . Is Obama's plan perfect? No, but none are. I actually believe we should go further than what his bill puts forth. Answer me a pair of simple questions: Why shouldn't health be a human right? Why should only those that can afford it be able to have good medical care?

Well, the two closest western Governments that are closest to being like America, would undoubtedly be Britain and Canada, both also have the same type of universal healthcare that Obama is pushing. Both healthcare systems are spectacular failures. Now am I saying all universal healthcare is a failure? Absolutely not. But when you get to countries such as say France or Denmark or Switzerland, their countries begin to become radically different in economy, structure, etc etc, and while a universal healthcare system could work in say the high-tax radical socialist structure of France, or in Switzerland where they automatically deport illegal aliens, and have very tough immigration laws. There is just no way it could possibly work here.

I don't support national health care for illegals. I support it for the legitimate citizens. The whole illegal immigrant thing is another argument. I personally feel they shouldn't be here at all.

The health care in France is almost bankrupt so oviously it did not work there.

Why do some people not see that in every government run health care system rations health care. Meaning they might as well have a death board deciding who gets treated and who does not.

As for what I mentioned that Obama said earlier it was at a town hall meeting in June at the White House. Look it up and see for yourself.

THERE WILL BE NO DEATH BOARD!!! RAGE RISING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now that I've composed myself, let me ask you what you think rationing health care would involve. I ask because you seem convinced it means exactly what my earlier scenario talked about. And making a claim of what was said (at the Obama town hall meeting) and not backing it up is strange.

ya, i agree. part of the problem is that no one wants to read a thousand page bill, not even the politicians

Yeah if a bill is a thousand pages chances are it's not good legislation. We elect these people so they can read the bills not just vote on an idea.

As for the link I am still looking for it and once I find it and I know it's out there. I will gladley post it hear.

Oh, PS there will be death boards, and have you even gone over the bill or do just belive what people tell you.

Why do people think the government will help healthcare by controlling it? If the government controls healthcare, it will make everyones' lives misreable.
