@FATEM post 38 I am taking your challenge. The only code I am completely fluent in is Blitz Basic. If you don't know, it is the code used for text based games, popular in the 80's and early 90's on home computers. I never appreciated those games because I grew up with graphics, but for something of what you are proposing, I think it is possible to make a game, without graphics. No huge development team no advanced software. Just one inspired man, programming on obsolete software in his living room. This will be a completely separate game from my previously mentioned idea. Instead of one path to choose I want an intricate system. Not like a river, but like a nervous system, not able to be mapped out on paper, but only visible to a computer, and the person who cares for the program. The player is aware that choices matter, but is not aware how costly the smallest decisions can be later on. Even after the consequences strike the player, they are unaware of how they might have gotten there. It seems random, but in all actuality it is carefully mapped out. It is insanity in today's market, but I am not going to make this for others. I want to make it for me, to prove that my writing and programming skills are high enough to make a good game with the bare minimum. Think of it as independent film makers with no budget, or an artist who only has one pencil. If it is alright with you FATEM I will begin programming on Monday morning based on your ultimate "good" and "bad" desires. If you notice the time stamp, it is 1:17 a.m. here. (EST) and that is just how much realizing everyone's desires has impacted me. It says a great deal about humanity, based only on a few people. I ask that anyone who reads this, gamer or not, posts here or to my e-mail in substantial detail. You all have my eternal thanks, as I have not only realized something that could revolutionize games in the future, but revolutionize how I think of everyone, and thus, how they think of me. It may not seem big, but to me this is gargantuan. Again, Thank you so much.
