WOW... I agree that there should be a seperate category for console and handheld gaming... but man... Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is awesome!!!
I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

My thoughts are: the next episode of Feedbackula is going to be crazay (Feedbackula is my one and only favorite thing from Gamespot). The Gamespot audience is composed of 93% Bro-Dudes, 7% sane people and 1 Nintendo Fanboy with a Kirby avatar that dedicates his whole day to searching out every post that has nothing nice to say about Nintendo so he can start an argument with the person who posted it so you know his job is never done. Anyways that Bro-Dude crowd is going to want to kill someone.
Seriously, it's about time a Handheld game won one of these things. The difference between handheld and console games have become marginal at best, and there have been console quality handheld games for a very long time, yet the gaming press still treats handheld games like second-class citizens for no reason other than "they're on a smaller screen". It's bullcrtap and I'm glad to see a major player fighting against it.
Woha, well the comments on that article are out of controll already. People are already talking about whenever Nintendo paid Gamespot or not. Anyway, its a neat suprise. Haven't played it yet but its a good sign for Nintendo and handhelds in general. I wouldn't have mind if Bioshock or Brothers would've won though.

Nintendo paid Gamestop? I couldn't tell from all the articles...

Looks like I should pull the tinfoil hat off of the hat rack.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
Some game is named GotY, the conspiracy theories arise, and everyone lived happily ever after (except the haters). Good to see the stale formula is overused

That was beautiful... But seriously, if ALBW or Fire Emblem or the other top notch 3DS games that came out this year that I don't have time to list were on Wii U, they would be twice as likely to garner a heap of awards.

Waiting for: BOTW 2, Metroid Prime 4, Xenoblade Chronicles 3
ya nintendo did pay gamespot, but in a very indirect way.
first they invested their time and money into making an awesome game, then they also paid for some advertising and stuff so gamespot would know about it.
