Topic: Games you've always wanted to play (but for some reason haven't)

I noticed recently that while I know a lot about various games, I actually haven't played all that many. There's a huge list of games which I like the concept of, but never went out there and tried it out. I wonder if anyone else is the same?

For me, the biggest example is definitely the Yakuza series. The main thing that pulls me away from the open world genre is that they're not mundane enough - they've always got the main character committing big crimes and doing ridiculous things which would never happen in real life. And then I read this article, in which a journalist invites several Yakuza members to play, well, Yakuza. (Language warning).

This quote stands out in particular: "M: Kiryu is the way yakuza used to be. We kept the streets clean. People liked us. We didn't bother ordinary citizens. We respected our bosses. Now, guys like that only exist in video games. "

Man I wanna play that game so bad...

Not really interested in buying used stuff, so for me it's mostly games that are too expensive bought new, which i don't have the console for or that you can't officially download somewhere (like the original Starfox).

Jet Set Radio Future and the Scott Pilgrim game are the main ones on my list.

Believe it or not...Skyrim. EVERYONE I know has played it and drools all over it but I've never gotten around to playing it. I hated Oblivion, but loved Fallout 3...so I wanted to at least give Skyrim a chance, but just haven't for some reason...haha.

Ahhh, Jet Set Radio Future would be another one...along with Baten Kaitos Origins...I'd better stop before I can't stop.

The Jet Set Radio series for me as well. I was listening to the soundtrack way before I got my hands on the first game. I actually have a working Xbox too, so I should try tracking down JSRF...

Fire Emblem: Awakening. The last time I played a Fire Emblem game was 7 years ago. It was Path of Radiance on the GameCube and I enjoyed it. I actually had to choose between Fire Emblem: Awakening and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. I picked up Pokémon, but unfortunately, it was a big mistake. I hope I can pick Fire Emblem soon or later.

The main one off of the top of my head that I can think of is Metal Gear Solid 2, 3, and 4.

I played the first one on the PS and it's one of my favorite PS games of all time but I never played any of the sequels. Main reason is when 2 came out my PS2 was broken so there was no point in getting it the same went with 3. I never played 4 cause I didn't own a PS3. I keep hearing how great the games are and I am sure that I would enjoy them but now that I own a PS2 I think the main reason holding me back is the fact that I don't own a PS3.

Approximately half my backlog...

But as far as games I've never gotten my hands on...not a lot. I've kinda tracked down most of the big ones. First one that comes to my head would be some Saturn RPGs, like Shining Force III and Panzar Dragoon Saga. Also Otogi for the Xbox looks like it would've been a ton of fun. Maybe Metal Wolf Choas as well. Oh, and Steel Batallion.

Not much I can think of besides those, though.

Flappy Bird.

Well, I never got to complete Bahamut Lagoon because I had to play that as a ROM, which kept crashing on me. I really wish they'd port that to the US.
