Finally finished my first play through of Jade Empire on the Original Xbox and what a terrific game. It's a shame that EA won't let Bioware make another one.

It's a puzzle platformer where you play as a little skeleton who betrays the "Dark Lord" and attempts to free the princess locked up in his castle. (so, it's sort of an escort puzzle platformer, because it's more about guiding her through the obstacles than yourself).

I can't say how many levels there are because that'd be a story spoiler, but it's definitely a full game, and worth the $2 I spent on it (I'm not certain, but I think It was released on Vita as well?).

Yes. I have it for the Vita. I paid quite a bit more than $2, though...

Half Life 2 (PC)

finally played this game! indeed one of the best games ever made. visuals still look good and especially the animations are topnotch! physicsystem way better than modern physicsystems IMO.
BUT i think i like the first half life more. half life 2 has way more storytelling and dialogue but i actually had to read wikis about the game to understand the story. the first half life had less story (or almost none) but it felt like the story was presented almost entriely through the setting and scenary and that was is still amazing to this day.
now i will play through the two episodes...

Half Life 2 bored me to tears. It's possibly the least fun I've ever had playing an FPS.

@6ch6ris6 You meant to say Half-Life and not Hal-Life, right?

Nevermind! I can see the pitch already!
HAL-LIFE! Experience the life of a Hal!

Recently cleared Super Paper Mario on Wii U VC. What an absurdly excellent game.
The music and story are some of the best I've experienced in years. It was a story that didn't take long to grip me; one in which I really wanted to know what happened next. The only thing I do not like? The 2D shape visuals. They're quite displeasing to the eye, frankly. I would've appreciated it if there were more "curves" instead of lines and edges.
But yeah, long story short: Super Paper Mario = Bang for my buck.

God first.

I recently finished the copy of Professor Layton and The Curious Village that I borrowed and moved back into playing Diabolical Box today. Curious Village was quite entertaining and, in its own way, touching; it was amazing to see the lengths that Baron Reinhold went to protect Flora. I guessed about halfway through that the villagers were robots, but they were so life-like that I would argue that they were sentient. Plus, in a way, this game could have turned out quite dark....If Flora had decided to take what was rightfully her fortune, St. Mystere would have stopped working, effectively "killing" everyone.

Most of the puzzles ranged from ingenious to "Duh, Trinexx!" to "How the heck were you supposed to get that answer?!" Overall, I really enjoyed the game.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 (2010): I liked the original more because of the levels, but still, great sequel.

I thought there were going to be more levels featuring Yoshi, to be honest. Maybe they didn't want to oversaturate the game with a lot of Yoshi since there was so much new stuff. I found it harder than the first game, some levels took me many tries.

@Trinexx Diabolical Box is probably my least favorite entry in the series. Curious Village is incredibly charming, though, and Unwound Future? Don't even get me started on that one. One of my favorite games on the DS.

The prequel trilogy is excellent as well.

@Ralizah: So far I like what I've seen of Diabolical Box, though I felt as though I spent almost too much time in Dropstone (this is partially my fault since I'm trying to find every puzzle as I go). So far I feel like Curious Village's pacing between chapters has been better, but that's a preliminary assessment since I just started Chapter 3.

I do have Unwound Future and will probably move onto it soon. It depends on if I'm up for more puzzles after finishing Diabolical Box. XD

@Trinexx It's still a decent game. Even mediocre Professor Layton is still a lot of fun. It just has some... credulity-straining plot developments. Even by the standards of this series.

@Ralizah: I see, thanks for the warning. The only thing that I found a bit meh was that most of Chapter 1 was spent looking for Tom; the tiny shoe clued me in that we were looking for a small animal almost instantly. It was pretty obvious, and you would think one of Layton's caliber would have caught on immediately. Anyway, I'm keeping an open mind about the whole thing.

Metroid Prime: Blast Ball (3DS)

Well, I beat the "Challenge" mode, and the credits played afterwards, so I'm counting it beat, lol (took me a week to finally clear the mode too, so I'd say it counts).

Still, this free release is a very generous way to try and get people to open up to Fed Force. You get full access to the solo modes (practice, single matches, & challenge mode), local play, and online play (with only the latter locking away after the full release). And even a training demo thing for the full game (with the ability to rank high scores in all the training exercises).

I still have some of the paint jobs to left unlock, so I'm sure I'll keep returning to it until I get those unlocked.

Personally, Diabolical Box is one of my favorite Layton games while Curious Village is my least. It didn't leave much of an impact on me as the other games in the series did.

Recently got the platinum trophy for Velocity Ultra. Some of those levels are super-tricky to get perfect scores on.

I'm satisfied, even though my hands hurt at the moment.

Primordia (GOG) - Well, that was a miserable experience all around. At least it was short, and the voice acting was good. Now I gotta find something lighthearted to cheer me up...probably Deponia, unless I don't want to play a point & click adventure game ever again...
