Two notable games for me:
1) Metal Gear Solid 3 - I Was never able to beat "The Boss".
2) Super Mario World 2' Yoshi's Island. I think I had turned 17, or so, at the time, and felt I had outgrown video games. I didn't pick up a video game for another two years after that. By then my family had moved to another house and I didn't bother to unpack my SNES from the box (In fact, I believe the game and the box itself is still unopened since 1997--and left in near mint condition).
Sonic Unleashed: Can't beat the final boss.
Trine 2: Got really bored with it after the first few levels.
Metroid Prime 3: Stuck somewhere around the game's mid-point.
Dead Space 3: Currently proceeding playing at a slow pace.
Medal of Honor 2010: Got bored with it being a generic COD-clone.
Metal Gear Solid: Have yet to reach the second boss.
Mole Mania: I got back to this game, and every puzzle by this point is brain-bending.
Warior's Way: I'm on the final boss, but by this point its practically a matter of luck
Pokemon Black 2: I'm on the 4th gym. I need to beat this before Hurricane XandY comes next week
Disney Infinity Incredibles Play Set: Every time I say "I'm gonna beat this," I end up going to the Toy Box.

Even games that suck and are not worth anyone's time? You've never had experience with a game so unplayable that it's next to impossible to merely pass the next level, never mind the rest of the game? Say, for example, "Wayne's World" for the SNES?
Currently:
MH3U
Link's Awakening
Pokémon Black
Pandora's Tower
Fire Emblem Awakening Lunatic+
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team
SMT Devil Survivor (3DS Version)
If we're talking Steam, I have plenty of games that I havent played at all, and dont plan to...
But yes, I think everyone has a collection of unfinished games.
I'm ashamed to say but, Megaman 2(3DS VC), Link's Awakening DX(3DS VC), 3D Classics Kid Icarus, Fractured Soul, Crashmo, MH3U, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, Bomberman 64, Bomberman Max 2 red, the Incredible Hulk GCN and that's all... well I though there would be many more(I thought it would be at least 50% of my "Game Library")
removed Megaman 2.
note: those are only games I haven't beaten if I count games I couldn't complete 100% I'll put almost every game I have since I'm no completionist...
goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

Heroes of Might and Magic VI, Skyrim and Shin Megami Tensei IV, unfortunately, I doubt those three will be played again either... but I do need to at least have more fun, but--
These are the games I probably won't finish by the end of this year:
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team
Metroid Prime 3 (Hyper Mode run)
Metroid Other M
Dragon Quest IV
Kirby's Epic Yarn
F-Zero: Maximum Velocity
Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap
Dillon's Rolling Western
Xenosaga Episode 1
Wario Land 4
Wario Land 2
Yoshi's Island
Kirby & The Amazing Mirror
And a bunch more.... -_-
I caught up on most of my games, though I still haven't finished Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just that I already played the game back when it came out on the Wii and I don't have much motivation to beat it again(which seems to happen a lot with "hard" games, I rarely feel like playing through them more than once...).
Still didn't "beat" Minecraft's Survival Mode either, been playing it for months but I'm having more fun aimlessly wandering and building what I feel like than actually working to get to The End
Other than that, I have several games I haven't opened/played yet. I have tons I didn't "complete" and just "beat" but that's because this year I ended up playing a few games I loved a lot rather than trying to get as far as possible in all the games I liked, not nessicarily because I didn't want to play them more.
