All the Mario Party games after 3. It's amazing how they got worse and worse. Don't even mention about Island Tour shivers (That game was horrible, seriously.)
A severe case of nostalgia.
Most games have aged poorly. The ones surprised or are exempting later sequels of said franchises are the nostalgic ones. Also:
@Kaze_Memaryu
You have a good list, except for one game: Super Metroid. I've agreed with every game on the thread, but this is one of my favorite games ever, despite only playing it last year for the first time. The grapple beam was annoying, along with the framerate drops caused by power bombs, but those are completely overshadowed by the incredibility of this game. Every place is crafted expertly and feels natural. The controls are great (except for the grapple beam) and the graphics have aged nicely. What else is not to like?
Any game with a password save system. I simply cannot play a game where you have to put in a 8-character code (or 24 in the case of Metroid) every time you boot up the game.
Also, any game without a save system period. People simply don't have time to play through the entirely of Mario 3 in one sitting these days.
I know stuff like the Virtual Console alleviate these problems, but if you are playing on the original hardware this is a huge problem.
Sometimes I feel like I am the only one on the planet who enjoyed Mario Party Advance. xD ...but I was a kid who hadn't experienced too many video games yet when I played it. xD
I actually really liked Mario Party Advance too

Well, all 3 of us have assembled here on Nintendo Life!

Pretty much all n64 games except ones that had different graphic/art style like Paper Mario. Games that go for artsy styles tend to look better with age such as earthbound, wind waker, and okami.

@Kaze_Memaryu Did... Did you just put SUPER METROID on that list?!?! WHAT!? I'm not even a big Metroid fan, but when I played it (About a year ago) I had to admit that it's a masterpiece. The atmosphere, gameplay, story, (Which had been spoiled for mr, but still) everything in that game is close to perfection!
Hard to believe Super Metroid's on a list, though I'm going to guess it's graphic-related compared to Zero Mission and Metroid Fusion. I would argue that Super Metroid is more varied in its display of environments in comparison to both of those games though.
If any Metroid game has aged though, it'd be Metroid II: lack of map, one-beam system and monochrome scheme. How Super Metroid aged poorly while Metroid II didn't is a head-scratcher.

Metroid II aged WAY better than the original Metroid.

@mystman12 It's mostly because of some questionable design choices, like how the jump mechanics, the weapon selection, or the Grapple Beam work. If you've played Fusion and Zero Mission before, and maybe even the Primes, the controls for Super just feel really unrefined and clumsy. In the boss battles against Draygon and Ridley, I was often getting hit because the controls weren't responsive.
Also, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Super Metroid is bad, but compared to the other entries, the controls just don't work well. But it's still a good game.
Yeah, N64 games in general don't seem to have aged well. The one I most agree with has got to be Mario Kart 64. That game has aged awfully. I tried about a year ago to play it and felt bored almost the entire time. Compared to modern course desighn they just felt really stale. The worst case of this had to be Raindbow Road. The fact that they made it work in 8 is nothing short of Nintendo magic. Not to say that for it's time it wasn't a great game (I can't really give imput on that seeing as the game actually came out about a month before I was born), It's just that compared to modern Mario Kart it's really not good.
Life needs to be as funtastic as you can make it
