It is hard to compare I am going on UK prices. (Pack is not available).

Ultimate NES Remix is RRP £34.99 (i.e the eshop price which matches the physical RRP).

Nes Remix is £8.99
Nes Remix 2 is £8.99

The USA does seem better. I don't think if the UK gets the pack then it will be £19.99

The Retailer needs its cut if it is a physical release so the price has to be higher.

I agree, that's a little backwards. However, as far as I'm aware, Ultimate NES Remix isn't the same as NES Remix 1+2, which makes it a little hard to compare.

@TheGreatBrawler Yeah, Mario Strikers is a unique game, but I only played multiplayer. I don't care for team stats in football games(although I did like the unique skills of most characters in Strikers), I choose any team/character, and I'm seldom like "GOOOAL!" Jumps up and down and throws controller to the floor like my friends. I won't complete single player campaigns; it's basically new stadiums and teams in a different uniform for completion rewards.
Don't get me wrong, I like some football games, but I don't get why so many people get excited and buy yearly installments; it's beyond me, actually.

God first.

Most FPS games. I literally don't understand what makes them fun. I've tried various ones hoping that it was just the franchise I didn't like, but no I don't get them.

The Grand Theft Auto series. I remember when Nintendo users were sad that there were any GTA on GC or Wii but I never cared. played GTA3 and lost my interest in like 10 minutes and the subsequent sequels look the same just with different graphics.

I am probably going to get a lot of hate for this but I can't seem to enjoy the Legend of Zelda. Not one game in the series has particularly captured my interest and I have no idea why. I am however, going to give the new Wii U game a chance, as I have with several previous titles. Perhaps the latest installment can do what the others haven't and finally capture my interest.

Along the lines of @PiplupJ I am going to say that I don't understand Ocarina of Time's appeal. Sure, it was amazing for its time and it may have been a masterpiece but in my opinion, Majora's Mask, Skyward Sword, and a few of the other Zelda games improved on it a lot. Same for Mario 64.

I suggest you try Half-Life.It's not that expensive and has one of the best sci-fi stories(at least IMO)in any video game.Plus the game gives you no instructions and isn't linear like most other shooters, along with giving emphasis on solving things like puzzles or navigating a certain area.I often find myself enjoying FPS games that have strong stories and campaigns or strong(which means no squakers or trolls)online communities. But I can understand if it's not your thing.

Some of you guys seem to be forgetting the whole "I don't understand why?" part, since a lot of these would be a lot easier to explain if we could get a sense as to where your confusion is at. Who knows, maybe you'll learn something? Maybe you'll be able to attack the game from a different perspective? Maybe you'd actually get to the point where you might enjoy it?

For instance, I remember I had to ask this forum why people enjoyed the Dragon Quest franchise. At the time, I couldn't see what the point of them was - they just seemed very basic and didn't change much from game to game, and they seemed to require a lot of grinding reward. I never realized that the point was the familiarity in its gameplay - comfort food, if you will - and that its writing is very often extremely charming. It's also very exploration focused, even if that sometimes means walking in the wrong direction sometimes. Some of the games get to points where there is no "right direction", though, which is really neat.

I guess the only two I can think of right now are Panzer Dragoon Orta and Kid Icarus Uprising (thank you midnafanboy), especially the former. Its supposed to be a rail shooter, but shooting things is way too complicated and I find its controls to be too damn confusing. I think I could see this being a good game if you could get into it, but I just don't see how I'm supposed to learn this game when every level is at least a half hour long with no checkpoints before the end boss, and I can't even get past level 2 on easy, mostly because I have no idea what I'm doing and the game is doing absolutely nothing to teach me. That type of hands-off approach would be okay if it was simpler and more intuitive, but I have have 3 different shots and I have no idea what they do or what they're for, I have to keep track of 4 different positions yet it took me forever to figure out how to turn the screen, and I can't dodge anything because I can barely move my stupid dragon. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I wish this game had some sort of tutorial or training mode ore something, because it feels like I'm trying to learning how to swim by diving into the deep end...

A more complete list:
Sonic
Forza
Angry Birds
Candy Crush Saga
Any modern multiplayer Tetris game on home consoles

To be clear, these aren't all games I just dislike. Those are for another list. These are games that I simply don't understand the appeal of.

  • Sonic just seems unnecessarily over the top with a gimmick that just doesn't seem interesting.
  • Forza is a driving simulator. I can do that in real life. I like cars but if I'm playing a game, I want to race with them, not just casually drive them.
  • Angry Birds. It's just an inferior Crush the Castle. The theme is more boring, the level design is poorer, and it involves far less skill
  • Candy Crush Saga. It's Bejeweled that extorts you for money. Match 3 puzzle games aren't that fun anyway.
  • Tetrisfriends.com has online multiplayer and a plethora of fantastic modes to play. Also, Tetris isn't really a game that you can sit down for hours and play, it's a 10 minute distraction; something best done between tasks. So why the hell would you buy a game of Tetris on a home console, a far more focused experience that you have in your home, the same place that contains a computer and internet to use Tetris Friends with. And I say this as someone who's pretty good at multiplayer Tetris (Level 14 in Tetris Battle)

Secret of Mana. I bought it on VC because it had so much praise, but it was awful to me. The combat was so clunky, the AI of your partners (admittedly from an SNES game) was so bad that they killed themselves constantly, and the story was boring.

First off: Where do you live where street racing is legal? No wait, what Forza are you playing where you "casually drive"? I mean, I hate Forza because it's too realistic to the point where it's damn near impenetrable, whereas Gran Turismo is light enough where I don't have as much to worry about in terms of tweaking the car, at least in arcade modes, and I can just focus on learning the tracks and going fast, but it is very much still a game about going fast.

Second of all...have you played "Crush the Castle"? It's terrible. I'm not huge on Angry Birds, but at least the took the concept and polished it up enough to be playable.
