we have all done it. cant beat that level in castlevania? lets throw the controller! that will show dracula! what have you done out of anger towards a video game?
ill give mine, when i was around 15 i threw cartridges across the room and grabbed my genesis controller by the wire and swung it to the ground until it busted apart all because of street fighter 2 special champion edition. i used to flip off the tv and spit at it. id turn off the game and say i win now. these days im much more dainty and loving with my games. i know the fine people in our community have got some creative ones, let hear em...

Confession Time!
In F-Zero I try beating Port Town II on Expert, but how do you do such? Its just so hard, especially with those obstacle cars just stopping out of nowhere, making me hit them at the back. So I go through some serious rage.

In Metroid Blast, there's a certain mission where you have to make sure you keep your friends safe from the Metroids. But no matter how perfect and flawless you think you are, you have an extremely slim chance of completing the mission. It made me drop a single tear of pain, and rage. And guess what? There's an advanced version of that same mission. So I'm all like "Scrudge it. I'm done with Nintendo Land" And Metroid Blast is now my least favorite attraction in the theme park. Its like that amusement park attraction you never want to enter, because you had traumatising fear of it as a child.

I've let out some steam in the Impossible Run in New Super Mario Bros. 2. And when you spend 10-15 Hours, trying to beat this DLC pack of 3 really hard stages, why not? And for the record, I still never beat it.

In the Zero Escape series, I've been in some anger, beating puzzles and not being able to find the exact location to search through.

I tend to yell at my games if I get too annoyed, and Kid Icarus: Uprising has had me reverting to throwing my stylus across the room a few times, but generally I don't really rage too much, and I never do if I have other people with me.
Probably the thing that works me up the most is when I'm getting towards the end of an online match of something and it disconnects (near the end of a Monster Hunter quest, for example).

LOL My whole family experiences rage quite often while playing Toejam and Earl. It's my mother's favorite game, and whenever I play it with her, it isn't uncommon to hear us blurt out things such as: "Stop hula dancing, you idiot!" "F***! A mole!" "That a**hole keeps killing me!" etc. Falling down a level, for either of us, is associated with multiple "F***!"s and "s***!"s from us, especially if it happens over and over.

I do remember the old NES Mega Man games made me throw my controller a few times.

I've never been so disgusted by the below-mediocrity that is Red Steel. Until I gave it a chance a little under a year ago, I never realized how generic, horribly paced, dated and poorly executed Ubisoft's core launch game on Nintendo Wii truly was.

You see, as immature as this tale o' mine is, I was so dedicated that after thirty attempts (thirty. thirty. thirty. thirty. Count it thirty.), of beating this sword wielding weenie, I unsuccessfully failed time after time. Days went by. I learned every move she was going to make and every. single. time. her health bar was halfway down (she was easy to hit until that point), she would explode with swipes and counters that were impossible to overtake.

I was never trained for that. There was never an opponent that posed that sort of a challenge until then nor was I exposed to a tutorial for a move that would have benefited my time of need. There was NOT enough sword fights in the world to prepare a player for that one-on-one duel.

I was enraged. So enraged, so much time wasted, so little done in that week of potential, I walked into my backyard, lit a campfire with a half tank of gas and burned that son of a bi-

I never do anything that's harmful to my gaming equipment (I do lightly toss controls at my pillow sometimes), but I do rage quit, yell quietly (I don't want to disturb anyone else with random yelling), and take out my anger on things that it won't mess up like my bed and pillow.

I too when younger had simaler stories. I would slam controllers down on a desk that I use to play video games at, rip cartridges out of their systems usually following a long stream of profanities. Nowadays I dont slam controllers around or abuse my cartridges but the profanity is still there. If I really get aggravated, mainly at WoW I slam my fist down onto my computer desk.

Turning off them game. I tend not to rage, but if I lose at the same point more a couple of times I'll get bored of the game and stop playing it, at least for a couple of weeks. That's what happened with Monster Hunter Tri and I'm regretting that now, since I'm still in Ludroth armor and HR 15

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

Aaaah, nothing like the rage one gets after spending 50 minutes trying to defeat a monster only to run out of time ...... as it's limping and running away from you. >:[

That reminds me, how did your StarFox Bonfire went?

Quite well, thank you very much. There were still some charred remains, so I hung them on my bird feeder. Now it's all perdy~
