Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is game of the year for me. Nothing else has been close.
Not knocking your opinion at all but I am always amazed how MUCH ppl like this game/series. Not that I think it is a bad game, I just do not see why so many feel, across the board, it is an EXCEPTIONAL game.
I have played only a little bit - on someone elses game - but other than the battle system, which is quite fun, where is the magic? Very, very similar to the game that preceeded it which I did complete. Yes it has good music and nice presentation but the graphics are a little naseau inducing, Portable Pastel Mario instead of Pretty Paper Mario, the story is very bad and uninteresting, the platforming is blah, the puzzles are brainless busy work like doing a word search on your Burger King Tray Liner.....
And yet I do enjoy the game, I do, but other than the battle system I think it warrants a 'C" grade. And the battle system aint THAT all that

To each his own, but I at least finished the game before I put it up as my GOY. Having played the game "a little bit on someone else's system" doesn't lend a lot of credibility to your concerns. This is the best game to come out this year IMO, and nothing else comes close. And while I enjoy the series, it's far from one of my favorites. I just think they took this game up quite a few notches from the previous releases and that earns my kudos.
Oh I know, it just felt it very much the same as the other one, I forget the name.

Now my predicition has not even been released yet - but - fun is as 2-d Mario does! If Nintendo botches that game I will start buying Sonic underwear then.....

I don't think NSMBWii will even be nominated for GOTY. It isn't anything we haven't seen before. It is something we have been seeing milked for the last twenty years.

BIS has great everything in my opinion. Definitely one of MY favorites.

(and I don't really see Nintendo "milking" 2D Mario platformers. Many people love those games, better give them what they want in my opinion. I'll buy every one.)
Well New Super Mario Bros. Wii could be great. I hope it rocks. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Well, I'm not saying that I won't get it, it looks great, but I don't think that it will be the GOTY because it has been milked for so long.
@MetalMario:Milking means releasing a sequel that has little to no change in the basic gameplay. Even if that is what fans want, it is still milked.

WTH???? Compared to what? Not seen a 2-d Mario on a home nintendo console since SNES!!!
