Didn't work today, so I'm not expecting it to work tomorrow, but we shall see. Tab switching for Microsoft wasn't an ideal experience for me. Is there a TV station playing it live?

Cant you just open two windows, one with streaming, one with chat, and put them side to side? If not then please correct me.

@Adam: It took a bit of effort, but I eventually found a good setup that involved separate windows, distilled down to only the necessary information, stacked in such a way that I could use the chat and watch the stream without difficulty (other than the lag, of course). Tab switching is not necessary.

EDIT: Also, Spike TV ran the MS show. I wouldn't be surprised if they do the same with the others.

So how many people are going to the NL chat just incase the problem doesn't resolve tomorrow?

Well, the NLife chat was a bit crowded for the Microsoft show today, so I can only assume it'll be much, much worse for Nintendo's own show. I wouldn't worry about not having someone to talk to, at any rate.

Chat was staggering under the constant stream of messages, mostly people saying the same things, all in short messages. But because NL Chat does not resize, there is a ton of wasted space. I'd miss a lot of messages with such a set-up. It's unfortunate that you can't resize the chat so that text wraps to new lines and make the window like a sidebar. You could put the video above the chat, yes, but with a widescreen monitor this is very inefficient. A sidebar chat like Gabbly would be optimal for this specific event. Nothing wrong with NL Chat ordinarily, but it's ill-suited to the purpose at hand.

And like Stuff said, the popularity of the chat is likely to be much, much greater for NL Chat, so any minor problems we had today I expect will be unsolvable tomorrow. I'll probably not bother with chat until after the presentation if Gabbly doesn't work.

Edit: Oh, Spike runs it? I think I catch Spike. If they have it tomorrow, I'll just chat in NL Chat and watch on TV, unless Gabbly surprises us by working.

The chat-above-and-video-below method may not be perfect, but it's what I had to do. I agree that the NLife chat will probably be more or less unusable tomorrow. If I'm available during the show at all, I'll probably also avoid it. If Gabbly doesn't work, we COULD try drastic options like Skype, but those usually require more advanced planning so everybody's on everybody else's contacts list.

I think I'd just go with Tiny Chat if NL and Gabbly both fail. Skype would be too much planning and relies on assuming nothing else works.

Ah, so it is. Checked the link and it loaded up no problem. The chat doesn't work on this browser, but at least it appeared. Should be fine on the computer later, if I can get back in time.

It might. It really is not the best application in the world and often has problems for different users. But it's also the only app of its kind that I know of, so... whatchagunnado. It's actually opening but not loading for me right now, but I'll be on a better computer later, so I'm assuming it'll work for me. If you have another browser, try it. If not... well, I'm sure a lot of people will still be in NL chat, too. Not sure what else there is to do, unfortunately.
