Topic: Futuristic Legend of Zelda?

My friend says he saw a video of the legend of zelda producer saying at some point hes going to make a futuristic zelda game with link having a motorcycle and a gun. I definately think hes lying and if he isn't i will sell all my nintendo products and go hide in a cave forever. i would hate that game! what would you think of it?

Well their obviously pulling your leg due to the fact that Link would never fit right with a gun and Motorcycle.
Don't count on it.

And with a gun and a motorcycle being is sword and horse, we the hell is his shield. Or in this case what is his shield?

He is definitely lying. I would like to see a Zelda-esque game set in a "futuristic" world, but they really should abandon the name Zelda at that point. The game has enough sequels already.

I see Nintendo trying something futuristic with Zelda but more of an ancient future thing so it still looks like it happened a loooong time ago.

Everyone here knows that if the Zelda series evolved into this futuristic style, all of us Zelda fans would buy it.

I wouldn't be so sure. Lots of Zelda fans passed up on Wind Waker. In fact, I did, though I eventually rectified that mistake years later.

I only passed that game up because I had a PS2

And I'm sure if nintendo did decide to make a futuristic zelda game, they would succeed in making it a good game.(not saying I want one though)

Windwaker was the best. my fav zelda game. Well i know hes lying im just seeing how you would like a game like that? i agree with adam i would like it if it didn't have the legend of zelda name lol

I think a futuristic Zelda would be pretty cool, but it'd have to star a descendant of Link.

Same goes for other medeival series, like Dragon Quest, Fire Emblem, etc.

I'd be open to a futuristic Zelda if it was pulled off well. I hate fantasy / pseudo-medieval imagery anyhow (yes, I despise LoTR with every fiber of my being), and I can only manage to overlook that given the strength of the games. To be precise, though, the Zelda series has always been a bit of a hybrid anachronism anyway, with the cameras, neon gaming galleries and jukeboxes, etc. I don't see a problem with them attempting some more futuristic vision. Perhaps it could be what FF7 was for the Final Fantasy series.

Because No More Heroes, Star Wars, and countless other media don't use laser swords.

I'm pretty sure that was a hoax, it was just a fan who made an ensemble of his own designs of a futuristic zelda game.
