Today Futurama supposedly had their series finale, which is hard to trust, considering this is the 4th time they have had a series finale for the show, but it seems this is finally the end for the show. I just got done watching the "final episode" a couple hours ago and I have to say it was a great place to leave the show for good, but I have recently just started to get into Futurama and would love for it to continue.
What are your guys' thoughts on this? Do you think this is truly the end and what do you think about the ending of the episode?
I have yet to see it but honestly I can say that since it came to Comedy Central or whatever the channel is called I just didn't enjoy it as much as the older Fox seasons. Not quite sure why but it just felt different if that made sense.

I haven't seen it since I don't have TV. It makes me really sad to see this come to an end. I love this show and it's probably my favorite cartoon. Well, definitely up there at least. I can't wait to watch it. Sucks it has to come to an end..
It is the final episode. And they've only had one previous "final episode", which was the last episode aired on Fox, "The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings". You could arguably say that the 4th direct-to-dvd movie was a "second" final episode, but I don't think that truly counts.
In a nutshell for those who didn't see it...
SPOILERS
SPOILERS
SPOILERS
... Fry decides to propose to Leela, then in typical Futurama fashion, a device the Professor invents (which rewinds time by 10 seconds) breaks, freezing all of time except for Fry and Leela. They live out their lives together for decades, and then the Professor (who appeared to be killed earlier in the episode) re-appears and is able to fix the device. The only caveat — that if he activates it, time will return to the point before it all froze, with Fry and Leela not having any memory of the years they've spent together as husband and wife. They agree, deciding (in classic Futurama heart-warming fashion) that they want to live their lives together all over again. The Professor activates the device, and the screen fades to white.
END SPOILERS
All in all, the episode was a great end to the series, and it's a shame the show's gone.
Ya know what I thought would have been an even better ending and truly would have sealed the show, especially how the pilot episode started right immediately after the Professor pushed the button.
Ok So I think that when he pushed the button it sent time so far back to when Fry originally got into the cryostasis pod. That would have been awesome.
You would understand if you watch the last episode and then immediately start watching the very first episode of the show.
It was a great.... no.... fantastic and influential show that I think is up there with the best like Simpsons. I hope they resurrect the show again at some point and if they do they should create an episode where Fry finally goes back and gets Seymour hahaha.
Haha at 1:00 AM Central time they are showing the Last episode again and the pilot is following it on Comedy Central tonight.
And that's really the last time they are showing it for a while, according to Direct TV.
Eh, doubt they're gone for good...I haven't seen the last season yet. But yeah, remember that quote in the opening for Bender's Big Score? "It Won't Stay Dead"...It'll be back eventually. x3
That's the way I see it anyway.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
I loved the show, better then most cartoons on TV. Sad to see it go but that only helps it open more great cartoons to come.

Here's the exact quote I posted on my Facebook to describe the last episode.
"The last Futurama has so sad yet romantic and the end was just so perfect tears came out of my eyes, it was like beautiful poetry."
Anyways I'm sad that it ended because it is my favorite animated TV show but I'd be sad if it just became another Simpsons where the show just keeps going to for the sake of existing and it doesn't really go anywhere I mean Fry and Leela basically started going out so there was no where to go from there.
I never actually watched the later episodes of Futurama, because it never played while I was in the room. But if its anywhere near "The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings" then I bet it was an awesome ending.
I HIGHLY doubt that Matt Groening (creator or Simpsons and Futurama) will actually let this go. Expect new episodes in the future with this tagline: "Guess what??? We're back!".

Cartoons shouldn't cause "Lie Down. Try Not To Cry. Cry A Lot"
I always skip the "Jurassic Bark" episode whenever it airs. It's one of most depressing things I've ever seen on T.V.
Have you seen the movie "Hachi: A Dog's Tale"?
It's based on the same story "Jurassic Bark" is based on and it's guaranteed to make you and everyone else watching look at the wall pretending they're not crying.

Hachi is another thing I'll never be able to bring myself to watch again. I was bummed out all day after seeing that.

They'll probably won't air this episode in my country for some time. I haven't seen it announced or anything.
Well I sure hope you get to see it. The last 5 minutes or so were about as touching as the Jurrasic Bark episode.
Funny thing is, I just saw the Jurrasic Bark episode (Seymour) for the first time a week ago and you would not believe how sad I was. I didn't know what to expect...... I have never been so sad with a TV show's episode. It just goes to show how moving even cartoons can be.
