Following Gabe Greens example I decided that I would get a bit of help from my fellow NL users in the creation of a freeware game. The game has been in production for several weeks (Design and production) and I now have a basic beta just to demonstrate gameplay and style. What I would like you to do is go to my mediafire page (http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=542892fdd9d1ff1ad8f14848ab...) and download the beta version. There are two versions. Beta 1.1 and 1.3. Give it a go and report back here with feedback and opinions. If you have any ideas for levels or enemies or even a boss post them here as well.It may not be used in this game but may be used in another project. If you are intersted in following this game you can also follow updates on twitter at http://twitter.com/FATEMpowerplay.

Just wondering, is this your first game?

I would recommend experimenting with this game a bit more. It is a little too basic, and a little fustraiting. The controls are awkward and lives would be nice. The movement could be slower, and adding a main menu wouldnt hurt. You got the right idea, but now its time to add some polish. I dont mean to be mean, but there is so much you could do with this. Later tomorrow I can help you but right now Im too tired. You have the right idea, now smooth and slow everything out. The animation could be smoother and so could the movement. Are you on yoyogames?

No but thanks for the feedback.I just thought I'd get a basic version out there first before adding stuff. I'm working on backgrounds, music and improved animation at the moment.Once I get a better visual design then I'm going to expand on menus and levels.
