Topic: Forums page showing guest but homepage and articles showing logged in

I can't seem to access my profile when on the forums but can on other parts of the site. Anyone else noticing this?

So I'm not the only one, and yet we can still post threads/replies. This site is dying I'm telling ya!

Also the Nintendo ads like Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition seem to be gone.

I thought I was the only person having all of these issues! I also can't use the reply button because it just sends me back to the news section for some reason.

@Grumblevolcano @Kimyonaakuma Ant fixed it, everything should be working again.

But is it REALLY fixed, though? The fact that I'm able to post, shows I'm apparently still logged in, but in the top right corner of the home page, it stays on "Guest - Login or Sign Up".

And even weirder: for me, clicking on Login just reloads the page I'm currently on, and clicking on Sign Up redirects to the home page "www.nintendolife.com".

Pretty damn annoying, now that I can't see whether or not I have a notification...

Refresh the page? If it still shows up, it's best to ask Ant about it.

And no, refreshing (multiple times) didn't work. Neither did removing all the Nintendo Life related cookies and logging in again...

@Octane @antdickens Could this, by any chance, have anything to do with the changes that were made to the site due to the new privacy regulations? A wise man once told me that there's no such thing as coincidence...

What browser are you using? and do you know how to screenshot the javascript console?

@antdickens Still happening, using Firefox and working on that screenshot. Currently, the JS tab is showing nothing while I'm on this page and typing this.

@ThanosReXXX hmm, looks like you're seeing old code for some reason. Can you close/restart the browser? and/or clear your cache? Thanks!

@antdickens No change whatsoever. Restarted the browser, cleared all Nintendo Life references in my history/cache and cookies, logged into the site again and STILL the upper right corner wants to make me believe I'm not signed in, while I clearly am...

It's starting to become really annoying...

P.S.

Just in case: I'd rather not clear my entire cache/history, because I use my old data quite often, but any and all references to older Nintendo Life sessions should be erased by now.
