How's the season so far? I was hoping for Webber to win at Melbourne. Oh well.
I'd love it if the US could garner some interest in F1 and help more people realize that there's more to racing than just NASCAR. It's obvious, though, that there is a fanbase or else we wouldn't get to see it at all.
Eccelstone is looking into returning the USGP for 2012, either in New York or Indy. However, Indy would have to redesign the infield, which has proven unpopular.
Without a doubt, the Bahrain Grand Prix was one of the dullest grands prix I've ever seen. It was just so... boring. Don't get me wrong, I was happy that Alonso won, but it was essentially a waste of an hour and a half of my life.
Now, the Australian Grand Prix more than made up for that. Very pleased to see Jenson win (obviously, being a Brit) what was, on the other side of the coin, one of the best grands prix I've ever seen. Hugely eventful, it made for gripping stuff.
As for the return of the United States GP, I would honestly prefer if they went back to Indianapolis. Not only would a New York City street race cause untold distruption in the city during its development, we already have two street races - the classic Monaco and the average Valencia Street Circuit - and I think three would be too many.
I'm also hoping for a bit of a downpour again at Malaysia this weekend. I like it when it rains.
