Hey Dark Machine you beat us 4-1 cheer up. Next year you'll get it, ha (every year they say the same).

Today's a great day to be an American.

As if all the other days aren't. lol

Congrats, that was quite a result. Hopefully you lot will start noticing 'soccer' if you get some success.

I hope the same. Generally I don't care about which team wins in any sport or competition, but a US win could have a good impact on the sport's perception in this country.

Of course, victory is still pretty unlikely. Brazil already beat them 3-0 in this same tournament, and they are likely to be the other finalist. I'll cross my fingers though.

By the way, that red card today seemed like an exaggerated reaction. Maybe I just don't watch the game enough, but I thought reds were generally for intentional fouls or very dangerous plays, neither of which seemed to apply in this case where the US player was sliding in from the front and nearly connected with the ball. **shrug**

The ESPN commentators remarked for at least the second time during this tournament that they think it's some sort of FIFA conspiracy for refs to be hard on the US to keep them from getting far, haha.

Unfortunately, the game in its current state is rife with refereeing inconsistencies. Sometimes they go for you, most of the time they don't. That was NOT a red today, but conspiracy theories go no-where.

See you in the World Cup

Premier League. Aiming for our 19th title to finally shut the scousers up. And I want revenge on Barcelona in the Champions League final, it's at Real Madrid's 'stadium' and Ronaldo (the turncoat, that could've been a Utd legend, waaagh) would be forced to watch.

UNITED!!

Agreed United FTW!! We don't need that posing pre madonna though, let him go top up his tan and wear flowers in is hair somewhere else (great player though he was). Hopefully Berbatov will come good next season and with that 90 million we should keep Tevez, don't want him to go to City There was talk of us getting Van Persie which i think could be a good move.We just need another world class midfielder though I like hargreaves is he ever gonna be fit? Get rooney back in the centre where he belongs and we'll do those scousers yet again!!
19 million for Glen Johnson WTF. HA HA even Rafa said they paid to much.

The Spanish team had good players, but there were all bad used. Also, they thought they were unbeatable because they didn't lost in 36 matches in a row(at leats is what i've read). The players were very, very tired also. One example is Sergio Ramo's FAIL that proetcted the ball very near to the goal.(also, same as i read, i followed the match via Twitter)

Congratulations for you americans. You did it very well, and hope you do well in next match.

PS: I'm Spanish.

Nah not Van Persie that Arsenal scum, Benzema seems the one, young too. Good to see a red on here mate. Get your ass here if you want a proper rant http://therepublikofmancunia.com/ I'm 'Billy Meredith' on there.

It would be nice if soccer became more popular in the United States.

The only way that'll happen though is if the US team keeps winning and MLS does a better job of promoting its sport.

Thanks for the link Machu I'll check it out some time when I'm not busy joining in hilariously pointless threads on here

@Alex You just need a decent run in the World Cup next summer, but I'm sure that's happened before and it was quickly forgotten. Got some good players, but they're all playing abroad. Beckham will be back in the MLS soon (be-grudgingly admittedly) and as much as I hate to say it, he might make the difference over there what with the academies and stuff.

At the end of the day though it's up to the US media, and I imagine it doesn't get much coverage. Correct?

Rawr!

Machu

@Luigi78 Yeah it still hurts! We didn't show up, and I was embarrassed by the final whistle, which was such a contrast to the rest of the season. They make me sooo proud! <3

Good for USA... BUT I'm more pissed now because my country almost won against the SAME players a couple of months ago, we were beating them 2-0 and they tied the match in the last minute.

Wow you caught us...that took a while. And Johnson wasn't £19million, he was less than £10million cash and we wrote off Portsmouth's debt to us from the Crouch deal. Considering he's English (New Champions League Regs mean that is important), the 1st choice England right back and Chelsea paid £18million for Bosingwa, I think it's quite reasonable. You lot have no right to comment after paying £15-18million each for Nani and Anderson. You're lucky Perez is willing to get on his knees for Ronny's goods really, no Tevez either it seems, can the fat traitor really carry your team next year? Doubt it somehow.

It'll be interesting to see what you lot do with the £80million, whether Fergie gets it all or some of it goes to service your HUGE debt bill. Maybe you could use it to put another tier on that hell-hole you call a ground, or just run trains through Manchester Piccadilly straight to the ground so all ya fans don't have to change trains from London.

Next season will be interesting, Liverpool have more money than the press think we do, plus a couple of dead wood sales will boost that further. We buy one or two more players and keep hold of everyone else, we win the title. Come in Manchester, your time is up.

@Dark Machine

Watch what you say about my my beautiful Rooney, he's gonna shine even brighter next season. As will the rest of the boys, now the focus is off Ronnie. Beware! And don't mention debt jeez, how's the new stadium plans going?

And what about this game right now, go South Africa, come on!

Right so they owed you 9 million and you paid ten million more = thats 19million no matter how you look at it. You do the maths!! Oh and he's english big deal, dosen't make him any less s**t does it.
As for debt oh that one made me chuckle. How much is it you owe exactly?? At least united can pay there's back, you know by winning trophies. You keep living in the past like all scouse fans.United are the future. Good luck next season you'll need it!!
