Topic: First Sonic game you bought?

What was the first Sonic game you've purchased?

Sonic 2/Sonic 3/Mean Bean Machine Triple-Pack thing.

Sonic 1 came bundled with my megadrive when I was a kid and it's still my favorite.

Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles came with my Genesis when I bought it. Then there was a blizzard. We got like 10 days off school to play in the snow and play video games. Good times.

Edit: How could I have forgotten Sonic 2 that came with my Game Gear and began my love of Sonic games?! D'oh!

I was standing outside Toys R Us the morning the original Sonic the Hedgehog was released. Some of my friends actually thought I'd died they didn't see me for so long after that.

Sonic Adventure which came with my Dreamcast.

Since I grew up with Nintendo, I didn't play any Sonic game until Sonic Heroes(GC).

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic Spinball. They came in Sega Smash pack for my PC.

Sonic 2 from Cash Converters when I first got my genesis. Good stuff. I bought the other 2 a week after, and my sister got Spinball. Unfortunately I never had Sonic and Knuckles.

Does Super Smash Bros. Brawl count since he was in it? If not, I have yet to play a Sonic game. Please keep in mind that I'm 15, been a Nintendo person all my life and didn't realize 3rd party games could be awesome until about 2 years ago.

Not really. If you have a Wii, I think the best place to start would be to go buy Sonic 2 off the Virtual Console. It's a fantastic game that everyone should play.

First one was Sonic R a looong time ago. Then later rented Sonic Adventure 2 when my folks got a Wii. I'm not sure, but I think the first not-Sonic R game I got was Sonic Adventure DX. Oh, wait. It was Sonic 2 on VC. Then Sonic Adventure DX.

Sonic Gems Collection on the 'cube, and about two months later I picked up the Mega Collection.

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle on the Gamecube. It's still my favorite Sonic game.
