I used firefox for a few months, and I really don't see much difference. I think it's mostly just people who want to be different who use firefox, because intenet explorer can do pretty much everything firefox can.
IE, and only because it comes bundled/integrated with Windows. I don't get the Safari/Firefox fanboy attitude saying IE sucks. It's a friggin browser, and it does the job just fine. I'm sure the other browsers are fine too. But like, why? Fanboys need not reply.

I liked firefox better, because of the convenient tabbed browsing, but they've added that to IE now. I hear firefox is more secure though, so I use that more, and I just like the layout better. I don't think if I had a PC I'd bother to waste the space and download it, since you can't delete IE, and I don't like to have two programs to do the same function on my computer if I can help it. It really only matters at work though, because I use Safari on my mac at home.
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery
The IE8 that comes integrated into Win7 is actually pretty good. I used to use FIrefox back when it was v1.5, as IE6 was just so bad. But now I've changed back due to extensions deciding to disable themselves every time there is a major update, pages not working etc. I must add I hate the argument that IE doesn't conform to web standards, because IE is web standards. Basically, Firefox has more bells and whistles, but IE is more compatible and reliable. Now, let's talk about the Wii browser, which I think is probably worse than IE5.
I always had the "What's the big deal...it's a bloody browser" attitude until I actually decided to give Firefox a try a couple years back. After seeing the difference I've avoided IE like the plague. Some people argue that IE is better from a developer's point of view, but in terms of presentation, flexibility and functionality for the end user Firefox wins in every way.
