Breath of Fire IV was the best Breath of Fire in the series, and it had the best music too.

I bought the soundtrack to Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together a few weeks ago, and this is my favourite one of the lot. "Viking Spirits"

I especially like the violin section.

Elsewhere on the soundtrack, my other favourite (before I heard Viking Spirits) was always Avilla Henya.

Here's the SNES version (I prefer it over the PSP or PSX versions):

The aforementioned soundtrack is something special. I'm glad I bought it, but it was a mammoth download (75 tracks!!)

Other tracks I like from the soundtrack include "Breath of the Earth", "Autumnal Sky" & "Three Kings".

@Gamesake - I assume you've never played Arcana. I played it and I personally thought it was a really great experience, and so far I've beaten it three times. I'll concede that it's got a few flaws, but I really enjoy the game. I can understand if someone might not enjoy it, but to each his own. Not all obscure games are bad, imo (just a reply to what you said in Mickeymac's "Recommend An Obscure JRPG" thread).

@tbd - you're right. The first part of my comment wasn't necessary.

I apologize, Gamesake.

Sounds a ton better thru the PC speaker, but you can't beat the classics. Maniac Mansion (DOS):

Too bad no pc speaker doesn't do it justice .

Warsong - The final scenario might be the best music on a Genesis cartridge.

What is this "DOS"? It sounds dirty.

I absolutely love the relaxing tropical jungle feel of Fortree City from pokemon Emerald. I always feel like a tourist whenever I go there.
