No love for music games in this thread? Guess we don't have many music game players on NL. Some of my favourites from the DJMax series below.

Rally

ITG2's Chicken Spin, Agent Blatent, and DDR's Sakura and Legend of Max.

I miss having a chatroom that was always in beta.

I dislike the 3D Mega Man series completely, but this song is amazing.

EDIT:

This song competes with DuckTales's Moon Theme, and Castlevania's "Vampire Killer" in terms of awesomeness.

“The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall.” - "Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them."

When I heard this song for the first time (prior to having played the game, by watching Shiryu's introductory video on YouTube); boy, was I impressed. Hiroki Kikuta sure makes good songs in this good RPG.

The day I faced the Mana Beast for the first time is a day I'll never forget (and not just 'cause I beat him on my first try ill-prepared, but because of the music as well). Pretty dramatic final boss fight.

It was so difficult trying to find the best song in this game, because all of this game's music is amazing, but I chose this one. Be it nostalgia or not, I really like this song.

“The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall.” - "Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them."

Relm's Theme -
Fantastic game. Fantastic soundtrack. One of the many great tracks of FF VI.

"I'm making electricity, and you look like an ***hole." - Nikola Tesla to Thomas Edison

On second thought, let's not go to Camelot. 'Tis a very silly place.

StarBoy91

Oh, yeah, Relm's Theme is cute.

Just a few of my favorites:

(I'm pretty sure this song ^^ is called "Jesters of the Moon")

(Yes, I know it's an arrangement. Don't judge me)

Ah, the obligatory sad theme from Secret of Mana.

I just can't get over how amazing this variation of "A Whole New World" is!!! The last time I played SNES Aladdin was back during Hurricane Rita at my mom's friend's house, but I remember it so well not just because it was fun, but because of the music. One of the things I'll do this Summer is catch up with the SNES cart after all these years. I miss it. Practically everytime I hear this song on YouTube, the final notes always give me goose bumps. I've only ever beaten it once.

Y'know, I love Bit.Trip Runner's menu/ theme music, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. It's definitely one of my favorite retro songs, though.

I would add a Castlevania: Rondo of Blood song; but it's too hard to choose, considering all of them are amazing.

“The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall.” - "Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them."
