Why doesn't it work when I use the embed code from YouTube.

Mine is the classic Mario music track from the NES game. I used to have it as a ring tone.

I'm not claiming this is the best music track. But it's definately one of the best at reminding me of my childhood for some reason. Probably cos me and my mates were obsessed with it as 8-year-olds

Simply Classic 8-bit music.

Quite possibly the best overworld theme ever made.

All of CRUSH 40's Sonic the Hedgehog themes. I burned myself a disc of those and I listen to it a lot! A lot, a lot, a lot!

Culex (which is a totally optional, secret boss) from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is the hardest boss from that game. This rendition of Final Fantasy II/IV's second Battle theme is amazing.

Sorry for the major bump, but I must get this amazing song noticed.

“The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall.” - "Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them."

the bump is always welcome on this thread. i love hearing these tracks.

Yes, there is a video game adaptation of An American Tail: Fievel Goes West. This title theme in the game, the first time I heard it, I thought it was cute; but once I listened to the whole song on YouTube; oh, my heavens, I'm amazed at the quality of the sound. It's amazing. It's a shame that the SNES game doesn't have a sound test (as I think it has some good music), and what's even more of a shame is that the title fades to the demo at 41 seconds into the song, which only gives us less than half of the song. The only way to listen to the whole song is through the internet.
It is currently one of my top favorite title themes. I haven't seen the movie in forever (I really should watch it again). When I found out years ago on the internet that there was a video game adapation of this movie, you can picture how surprised I was.
As for the game itself: it's an enjoyable one, even if a bit easy at times. It's the only game that stars the young Fievel Mousekewitz.

Illusion of Gaia has a really good soundtrack; so many songs in it are awesome:

The ending and credit themes are also amazing; a bit emotional, even. I nearly cried at the end of Illusion of Gaia when I first beat it.

I don't know about the rest of you, but my computer isn't exactly the fastest machine ever. It loads some, but not all, of the videos, so it would be nice to have a direct link to the video (you can still embed if you want; it does not affect my internet speed). Just sayin'.

If I ever get around to finishing it, I may post my "Top 100 VGM of All Time" list that I've been working on in my spare time. Don't expect it anytime soon, though.

I feel my mind dissolving around...

Every time I post video game in music in this thread starting now, Aeneida, I'll post both the videos and the link.

@Aenaida: i don't know much about computers, so maybe it's my browser or my OS or whatever, but i know for me, if i double click the video, it'll take me straight to the video on youtube, just like the link would... hopefully that helps.

That's the thing, some videos don't show up. My computer (a 4-year-old old desktop) just reaches a point where it gives up and refuses to load anymore videos, leaving a blank space where the video should be. I'd say it's either a) my internet connection, or b) my computer just sucks.

I swear, the first thing I buy when I get a job and earn enough money is a new computer...
