I figured it'd be interesting to learn what music we all like. I personally prefer Alternative Rock and my favourite 5 bands are (In no order) Five For Fighting, Keane, Coldplay, The Killers and Air Traffic.

That's some diverse stuff. I saw Nightwish in New Orleans late last year. The new singer is good but still a huge letdown after Tarja. At least Marco still sings and generally rocks. They were touring with Sonata Arctica, who were also a bit of a disappointment. Their last album seems so watered down and uninspired.
And Talking Heads are always good, of course. Have you ever seen David Byrne's movie, True Stories? It is hilarious if you're into some extreme deadpan (yes, I understand how contradictory that phrasing sounds... but it fits, somehow).
