Yup, you're likely thinking of "Manga Entertainment" who do a few anime shows, like the original "GITS" movie.

Uh...I have too many to list or even pick one as my favorite. But my current favorite show that is currently airing in Japan is Saki. Awesome mahjong anime with Yu-Gi-Oh!-esque battles, tacos, yuri teasing and just plain fun to watch!

But perhaps we should be talking about shows based on Manga. I'll nominate as a somewhat guilty pleasure NANA. Not sure why, but I've enjoyed following that series; if only they'd continue to import / translate more than just the first 11 episodes.
