Slow (some would say "deliberate") pacing is a definite hallmark of Hitchcock's stuff, and that's not going to be to everybody's liking. But, that said, give North by Northwest a shot, Big A2. One of the great things that movie does is that it sets its plot into motion very early, and film just keeps accelerating from there. It's definitely the most manically-paced film of his that I've seen, and it's one of my all-time favorites.

Aw man, Strangers on a Train was on TCM a few days ago, but I didn't know it was a Hitchcock film. D: Can't believe I missed that.

North by Northwest is by far my favorite Hitchcock film. But I still love Psycho and The Birds too.

Plain old gamer :)

I didn't say I didn't like that they were slow. I loved both of those films, but I guess if they were a tad faster, it wouldn't have gotten the same point across as well. Rear Window especialy. Maybe I should walk down to the Video Sto' tommorow and rent North By Northwest.

Regardless, they weren't as "bad" as 2001 though (although 2001 has way more going on, so to speak).
